Matlock has proved to be a phenomenal success for CBS due to its engaging storyline and stellar performances. What happened in Matlock Season 1 Episode 14?
In the previous episode, the class action lawsuit against the alcoholic drink Slamm'd was in the focus. Olympia had spent two years preparing the case, but the defense argued that people were responsible for their own actions, not the drink.
A key witness named Kennedy was afraid to testify because she had given Slamm'd to a friend who later died. Matlock convinced the district attorney to drop charges against Kennedy so she could testify.
Meanwhile, Sarah and Billy looked for proof that Slamm'd was secretly marketing to minors. They found some evidence, but the court did not allow it. The case fell apart when Tucker, one of the plaintiffs, admitted his history of addiction to drinking.
