Titled A Traitor in Thine Own House, the 11th episode will focus on a tech startup. Someone from the company steals confidential information, after which Shae and Olympia’s team are tasked with handling the case.

Since Shae is known for being a human lie detector who instantly catches people who are hiding something, Matty would be scared that she should not find out about her undercover mission. CBS has released an official logline for the episode, which reads:

“Tensions rise as Shae works with Olympia’s team on a case for a tech startup that’s had trade secrets stolen.”

What happened in the previous episode of Matlock?

In Matlock episode 10, Crash Helmets On, Matty makes some risky choices. Things got messy when Mrs. Belvin picked up a recording pen from Julian’s office while collecting signatures for a sympathy card. Matty then raced against time to replace the pen with a fake one, staging that Julian was spying on Olympia.

Olympia then demanded an investigation into Julian’s finances. At the same time, Matty and her team took on two cases. First, they defended an assisted living facility, which was being sued over the sudden death of a resident named Walter Higgins.

The team found out Walter had been playing secret poker games where the winner got Viagra. Since Walter was already taking nitrates, mixing them with Viagra could have caused his stroke. However, a second autopsy showed Walter had arsenic in his body.

It turned out his girlfriend, Lucille, helped him end his life by poisoning his tea, which cleared the facility of any blame. The second case involved Autry, who asked for Matty’s help because his neighbor was trying to kick him out of his apartment by lying about noise complaints.

Matty had to choose who out of Sarah or Billy would take it to court. After Sarah opened up about her adopted grandmother who had dementia, Matty picked her. But when Billy caught Matty snooping in his desk for the missing pen, she quickly changed her mind and gave the case to Billy.

While Billy won the case, Sarah felt betrayed and warned Matty that she had made an enemy. With the team falling apart, things got more dangerous for Matty and her mission.
