What happened in Matlock Episode 9?
In episode 9, Friends, Matty and Olympia worked on a wrongful termination case. Sam, a pregnant woman who had been fired from her job, claimed she was terminated because of her pregnancy.
As Matty and Olympia investigated, they found out that Sam’s firing might have been connected to her truck being stolen. Sam said she hadn’t had anything to do with it, but it turned out her best friend, Khadija, was in debt and might have been involved in the theft.
While Matty and Olympia focused on Sam and Khadija, the case took a turn when they discovered that Sam was fired because she had been trying to organize a union. They found out that Irv, a union buster pretending to be a manager, had planted evidence in Sam's locker to frame her.
In the end, the truth about the company’s dishonest motives came out. On the personal front, Julian’s past affair with Shae came up again, which hurt Olympia. The two had an argument as they were both competing for a partnership at the firm.
Meanwhile, Matty’s feelings for Olympia affected her judgment in the Wellbrexa case. Matty was sure that Julian was the one hiding the documents, but she ignored the possibility that Olympia might also have been involved in the wrongful activity.
