Shark Tank investor Mark Cuban, on February 15, 2025, inquired on X about analyzing the "cost for unemployment benefits" for fired federal employees. He mentioned that he was unaware of any such laws or "costs" from across the country. The billionaire entrepreneur posted on X about the subject to gain more insights on it.

Among many replies to his post, one was about how sometimes employees "overpay contractors" and refuse to come to the office and even "steal." In replying to that, a Shark Tank investor shared another post on X, part of which read:

"I would also examine the cost to them for travel, expenses when they come to the office vs the cost to me for higher expenses at the office and more of their time spent getting to and from work. And of course any potential wage increases because they now spend more time commuting. It’s all math and analysis."

In a recent X post shared by the Shark Tank mentor Mark Cuban, he received many replies from netizens and entrepreneurs on the platform. His initial Tweet read:

"Has anyone done an analysis of the cost for unemployment benefits for fired fed employees ? I don’t know the laws or costs across the country. So I'm curious."

Replying to that, an X user stated:

"As a small business owner who hires 100's of film production crew let me ask you a proven successful business leader. Would you keep paying for employees that over pay contractors, refuse to come in the office and or steal from you? Or would you worry about them going on unemployment?"

In response, Mark stated that he would "look in the mirror" and ask himself about what happened to his systems that allowed "theft and overpayments" that have occurred.

Further in his post, Shark Tank mentor mentioned he would ask himself about how he had been evaluating the "productivity" of his employees and where each of the employees had been "most productive," whether at home or while working from the office.

"And I would ask the same question about aggregate productivity for the company," he stated.

The latter part of his post read about how he would examine the cost of "travel, expenses" while the employees arrive at the office. He would then compare those costs with the time employees take to commute to the workplace.

As a result, he would increase "any potential wage" because the employees have been spending more time "communicating" to attend the office. He referred to all these things as "all math and analysis."

The entrepreneur's post gained much traction, and netizens left their views via comments on the platform.
