Finally, the wait is over for Marvel fans as Marvel is reprising 9 heroes for its upcoming animated series Marvel Zombies. Though the series is an animated one the ones who played the role originally will be giving voices to the characters.

Some familiar faces are also reprising their roles from the What If....? Animated series from which the show is inspired. The series builds further on the alternate reality concept built by the What if..? against the backdrop of a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) plagued by Zombies. The series will revolve around survivors such as Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop, Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, and others who must fight against the infection.

Marvel Zombies is set to debut on Disney+ in late 2025. Read further to know the complete list of superheroes reprising their roles in Marvel Zombies.

Here is the list of 9 heroes reprising their roles in Marvel Zombies

The animated series will feature a range of MCU heroes who earlier have been teased in inside rumors. The show features characters from various MCU films and series, making it a wholesome treat for all Marvel fans. Here is the list of heroes reprising their roles in Marvel Zombies.

  • Awkwafina as Katy
  • David Harbour as Red Guardian
  • Simu Liu as Shang-Chi
  • Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch
  • Randall Park as Jimmy Woo
  • Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova
  • Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop
  • Dominique Thorne as Ironheart
  • Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel

Ms. Marvel is expected to play an integral role in the show, contributing to the fight against the deadly infection. Other characters, such as Death Dealer, Blade / Moon Knight, and Xu Wenwu, are also expected to appear in the series.

Scarlet Witch will appear as an antagonist, on the Zombie side following the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Additionally, the series also features, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Alexandra Daniels as Captain Marvel, and Josh Keaton as Captain America, on the Zombie side of the equation. Richard Madden's Ikaris will be seen floating in the air with his half-rotten body, making him one of the most terrifying characters.

When the Marvel Zombie is Premiering?

The show is scheduled to drop on October 3, 2025, on Disney + with a 4-episode lineup. In January 2024, the Marvel Zombies animated series creator, Bryan Andrews, revealed that the release date for the show has been continually shifting because of production delays and he wasn't sure when the series would premiere. The earlier plan was to release the show in 2024, however, that didn't seem possible.

Unlike many other Marvel projects, Marvel Zombies is rated TV-MA making it only suitable for Mature Audience. This will give immense artistic freedom to the makers keeping in mind the post-apocalyptic backdrop against which the series is set. Therefore it will help the series to explore darker and more graphic content fitting the unsettling, gruesome world full of Zombies.
