"Marital bliss deepens for most of our couples at the Commitment Ceremony, but an unanticipated development shows one of this years strongest couples facing their moment of truth."

What happened on Married at First Sight: Australia Season 12 Episode 21?

The Married at First Sight: Australia Season 12 Episode 21 gave a glimpse into each couple's relationship update. Couples including Morena and Tony, Jamie and Dave, Jacqui and Ryan, Rhi and Jeff, Awhina and Adrian, Veronica and Eliot, Lauren and Clint, as well as Beth and Teejay evaluate their respective relationships with the help of experts.

One of the main highlights of this episode was the conversation between Morena and Tony discussing what went down at the dinner party. Tony opened up about his feelings, stating that they both had different personalities. However, the way he worded his statements hurt Morena, who slammed him for making a "mockery" of the experiment. Despite having a mutual understanding and connection according to the experts, Tony decided to leave the show.

Meanwhile, other Married at First Sight: Australia couples including Rhi and Jeff made progress in developing a stronger connection after Jeff revealed that he was on good terms with Rhi's family. He said:

"Rhi's mums got me on the text message already, we're texting each other."

Later in the episode, Awhina talked about how she feels about Adrian's behavior. When it was time for them to disclose if they still wanted to stay together and continue their relationship, they responded with a yes. Awhina, however, did imply that she was hiding certain emotions and didn't want to talk too much about it or else it might hurt Adrian, she continued:

"It's not that I feel like I need permission. It's that sometimes, I feel like it'll cause a rift between us if I delve into too much detail about certain things and I don't want to hurt Adrian's feelings."

Meanwhile, Paul apologized for his mistake after he punched a hole in the door. This happened when he found out about Carina's past of being physically intimate with a rapper. The experts were quick to question Paul for his behavior, stating his reaction was unjustified and that he could be removed from the experiment.

New episodes of Married At First Sight: Australia Season 12 air every week on Sunday at 7 pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7:30 pm exclusively on Channel 9 and 9Now.
