Shark Tank mentor Robert Herjavec shared a post via his Instagram on February 27, 2025, recalling how he didn't start his first business until he was 31. The tech entrepreneur shared a few key facts regarding his achievements and age.

Robert's post read how there was a time when making $100,000 a year was the idea for most individuals. It further mentioned the possibility that it may "never" come again.

"The idea of getting a lifetime job and making $100,000 a year with benefits is dead and gone. It's over. And it may never come again. That's a very scary thought for a lot of people."

In his recently shared Instagram post, Robert Herjavec talked about how it is never "too late" to start something new. For the individuals and young entrepreneurs who might be under the impression that they might have "missed" their chance, Robert shared some key facts regarding achievements and when he achieved those.

"I didn't start my first business until I was 31. I didn't float Fone Zone on the ASX until I was 42. At 45, I thought I had life figured out. I didn't. I didn't sell my business until I was 59. And now, at 62, I feel like I'm only just getting started."

The Shark Tank mentor shared that he built his $875M+ business from scratch. For the entrepreneurs who might be looking for inspiration, Robert stated:

"Think you've missed your shot? You haven't. Think it's too late? It's not. I built an $875M+ business from the ground up. And if there's one thing I know for sure. Your timeline is yours to own. So—what's stopping you?"

During his appearance on Shark Tank Australia's Jane Lu's podcast, Robert Herjavec opened up about various business ventures he built and later sold.

Podcast host Jane Lu asked Robert about starting his next business. Shark Tank's mentor recalled he started another venture in Cyber Security. After building it for over a decade, he sold it for $36 million.

"I thought I was like the richest guy in the world."

The Lazy CEO podcast host, Jane Lu, also recalled how it was such a big deal at the time and the recognition that Robert received. He stated that the deal he made was featured on the newspaper's front page.
