Shark Tank mentor Daymond John shared a video clip via Instagram on February 19, 2025, featuring the tour of his office. The investor talked about how, since the pandemic, many people started working from home.
As he went ahead with the tour, he came across various sections of his office featuring considerably huge portraits of his fellow Sharks from Shark Tank. Additionally, Daymond John captioned the Instagram reel with the following:
"Who needs a "home tour" when you can have an office tour! So many of us have worked from home for many years, and here's the truth: working in person makes a big difference. I also missed being around my team every day (Don’t tell them I said that)"
Shark Tank mentor Daymond John opens up about why working from the office is preferable
In a recent Instagram reel shared by Shark Tank's Daymond John, he shared his thoughts on working from the office and working from home. According to him, "real work" happens from offices. While exploring his office, he shared many things about the place he had built for himself and his employees.
"I want to show people the way that I'm working in my office and how I believe that this is where the real work is going and how an Entrepreneur should be worth," stated Shark Tank mentor.
Starting the tour from the reception area, Daymond referred to it as "very classy." Next was the guest waiting area, which had a huge sitting space around plants. He also stated that there was a private telephone booth.
"You can work at look at the amount of space here. Other day I was here, the mayor came in, was hanging out and talking to me and then randomly as we were talking about with the mayor, we were discussing bringing more technology."
Shark Tank's mentor shared that he and the mayor discussed bringing in more technology and making Miami a "tech hub." He also said that there was an AI conference that happened there. From that, he stated that he also found a few people whom he might be hiring.
The next was a food counter where he got a coffee and expressed his love for a "beautiful coffee."
"Look how massive that office is right here. Today when you... so whether you're an organization with 30-40 people or you're somebody with two people you can adjust and build up and break down accordingly because you really don't know with everybody working remote then you know you have no idea the flexibility you're gonna need."
While walking towards his office, they came across a room called John's "deal office." He joked about how Kevin O'Leary is never allowed there because of all the deals. Upon arriving at his office, he picked up a magazine featuring him on the cover page.
Seeing huge size portraits of fellow Shark Tank investors, including Kevin O'Leary, Mark Cuban, and Barbara Corcoran:
"I joke about them, but you see how much I really do love them."
When the interviewer mentioned such customized portraits were "pretty cool, he replied that he "loves" art. He also stated that they had "amazing desks" and quoted the phrase: "Sitting is the new smoking."
Shark Tank's mentor concluded the office tour by mentioning that he didn't know why everyone does the videos where they do their home tour because that's not something you can learn from.
