Love Never Lies: South Africa has already stirred the pot by splitting the couples into two distinct Villas, Umjolo and Umgovo. The two different villas serve different atmospheres and opportunities, as the fans witnessed in episode 2.
The couples already going through trust issues and conflicts now stare deep into the well of insecurity and jealousy as their partners enjoy the getaway with "singles" in Umojolo Villa. At the same time, they contemplate their dynamics in Umgovo.
The six couples entered this show to test their bond, which will cost them emotionally and financially if they fail. In episode 3, the cameras panned out at Nancy, who was ready to witness Bohlale's footage from the Umjolo Villa. Bohlale found solace in Mia and claimed he didn't miss his partner.
The rest of the cast members came one by one to look at the footage of their respective partners and contemplated their relationship while they could. The episode then brought another twist by exchanging the cast members from their respective villas. Later in the episode, the Umgovo villa member who went through the footage reveal attended the second Love Never Lies ceremony, where the host, Minnie Dlamini, informed that their partners were tested by the "Eye Detect." Minnie Dlamini also mentioned:
"They answered two questions each. Their honesty or dishonesty will bring you clarity tonight, but will also affect the value of the money pot."
Love Never Lies: South Africa witnessed the cast going through the second "Eye Detect" test
In episode 3 of Love Never Lies: South Africa, Bohlale, Siya, Clayton, Naledi, Lynn, and Munaka were sent to Umjolo villa, where the singles joined them to test their bond. The Umjolo villa symbolized temptation, and many participants gave away to it.
However, their partners in Umgovo Villa witnessed the footage of them being emotionally and physically intimate with the singles, forcing them to question their bond. Some of the cast members felt betrayed and disrespected and even claimed that they felt they never knew their partners at all.
After the participants were swapped, the previous Umgovo members, which included Kudu, Gontse, Nikiwe, Wilfred, Pretty, and Nancy, were welcomed by the host, Minnie Dlamini, for the second Lover Never Lies ceremony. Dlamini called Wilfred first and showed him the questions asked to Clayton.
It was revealed that Clayton lied about one question and answered another truthfully about whether he wanted to kiss Simo during their stay in the Umjolo villa. Clayton answered, "Yes," which shattered Wilfred.
The next person in line was Pretty, who felt "disappointed" after watching Siya's footage and his answers. Siya also answered one question truthfully and lied when asked whether he wanted to be with Mallay instead of Pretty. He said, "Yes," which was a lie.
Nancy was the last person to come to the hot seat to witness her partner's answer before the episode ended. Nancy was already heartbroken from the footage that she saw in the morning. When Dlamini revealed the answer to the first question, whether he felt an emotional connection with Mia, Nancy was not surprised by Bohlale's yes.
The second footage had some explicit scenes that shook Nancy, and when Dlamini revealed the second question, whether Bohlale had been intimate with Mia, the atmosphere of the place went numb. However, episode 3 of Love Never Lies: South Africa ended on a cliffhanger, resulting in palpable suspense for the fans.
Love Never Lies: South Africa is streaming on Netflix now.
