Love & Marriage: Detroit Season 2 Episode 8 Recap: Kristina feels anxious during the practice while Anthony gets in a disagreement with Brandon

OWN released Love & Marriage: Detroit Season 2 Episode 8 on April 19, 2025. The latest episode, "Podcast Pop Off," featured Brandon helping Kristina with her upcoming music release. Kolby and LaToya discussed the latter's pregnancy, where Kolby told her that it was all right.

The highlight of the latest Love & Marriage: Detroit episode was when Kristina went to Anthony's podcast. When she arrived with Brandon and Chelsea, things heated up as Anthony disagreed with the two.

Love & Marriage: Detroit Season 2 Episode 8 Recap: Brandon helps Kristina during her practice

The eighth episode of Love & Marriage: Detroit Season 2 featured Kristina at a musical practice. Seeing her struggling with a few notes, Brandon helped her overcome the issues she faced. When he asked Kristina, she responded:

"Coz I don't know what's going on."

After the practice, when the rest of the performers left, she confessed to the cameras:

"Jumping back into artistry has been a lot. There's been anxiety all over the place for me. I know it will be hard, but I didn't know it will be this kind of hard."

She and Brandon had a sit-down where, despite his assurance that she "did good," Kristina asked him if he was sure. He told her to use her energy "moving around, rocking, spinning, dancing." However, she said that it gave her "anxiety." They discussed Kristina's training in stage presence, performance training, and more.

Love & Marriage: Detroit Season 2 Episode 8: Kolby opens up to LaToya about her pregnancy

Further on Love & Marriage: Detroit's eighth episode, Kolby opened up to LaToya and shared about her pregnancy. She stated that she has been "overly emotional." Recalling her previous pregnancy, Kolby said she was "doing more" as she was a little more active.

"Last pregnancy, I was doing more. Like, I was a little bit more active. This pregnancy, I feel like I don't have the, the wherewithal to do anything," said Kolby.

Listening to that, LaToya stated that Kolby already has a toddler, and that might be the reason for feeling that way. Kolby also shared about the doctor's concerns about the baby.

Later, when LaToya opened up about her struggles, she became emotional.

"And it's like, do I step back from my career to give them more time? But then what they recognize it? I don't know. I know they love me," said LaToya.

Love & Marriage: Detroit Season 2 Episode 8: Anthony got in an argument with Brandon and Chelsea

After Anthony invited Kristina to his podcast, she went there with Brandon and Chelsea. Brandon mentioned that Anthony will have to reach out to Chelsea for the next podcast. Kristina added that Chelsea was her brand manager. She said that Chelsea was the one who managed everything and got everything "in line."

Listening to that, Anthony said he was glad he had already interviewed Kristina. However, Brandon added there will be more interviews as Kristina is "on the rise." During their conversation, when Chelsea mentioned she was cold, Anthony suggested there would be a heater in the car. Kristina asked if he was kicking them out.

"I didn't invite everybody, I invited you," said Anthony.

Brandon responded that when he invites a "talent," the "team" comes with it. Kristina also added that they were her team and everyone would be "respectful." Chelsea asked Anthony about what was disrespectful that had happened there. Despite answering her, Anthony started talking to Brandon.

Later in the episode, Anthony asked the security to escort Chelsea, to which Kristina said if Chelsea was leaving, so was she.
