Among the familiar faces returning to Love Island All Stars' South African villa is India Reynolds, the 34-year-old model from Reading who first captured viewers' attention in 2019. Reynolds, who came third in season five alongside basketball player Ovie Soko, is back for another shot at finding love in the villa that changed her life five years ago.
Her first season of Love Island was one of the most memorable, with stars like Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague, as well as victors Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea.
This season, Reynolds joins fellow All-Stars candidates Scott Thomas, Luca Bish, and Gabby Dawn Allen in what looks to be an intriguing variation on the show's popular formula, taking experienced islanders and giving them a second chance at romance under the African sun.
Love Island’s India Reynolds’ past experience on the show
Reynolds' first Love Island journey began on day 43 as a bombshell entrance. Despite spending just 12 days in the villa, she made quite an impact. Her connection with Ovie Soko blossomed quickly, leading to one of the season's most notable couples. During their final date, she revealed the depth of her feelings:
"I came in to meet someone but I didn't expect to meet someone and get on with them and like them as much as I like you. Do you know what my favourite thing about you is? You're always checking that I'm ok and you'll just give me a little wink or a nod."
The couple's post-villa relationship lasted three months before ending amicably in October 2019.
The split wasn't without drama – Reynolds recently revealed that Ovie's management announced their breakup publicly before she was even aware of it. Despite this, she maintains there's no ill will:
"We're friends and there are no bad vibes there, so it would actually be nice to see him if he did come in."
Any hopes of a reunion were quickly dashed by Ovie himself, who stated in a social media video:
"I'm never going on Love Island All Stars, love the show but I'm 33 guys. I am your uncle now."
Since her first villa experience, Reynolds has kept her love life relatively private. In a February 2024 interview with The Sun, she was refreshingly honest about her romantic situation:
"My love life is such a bloody disaster. I've been on my own for ages. I've dated a couple of people but it's been nothing serious."
Away from reality TV, Reynolds has built a diverse portfolio of business ventures. She runs REVR, her shapewear brand, and maintains a cooking account (@recipesfromreyn) where she shares vegan recipes. Her main Instagram account (@lovefromreyn) offers glimpses into her modeling career and daily life.
India Reynolds comes back to Love Island All Stars
Reynolds' return to Love Island All Stars represents more than just another shot at romance – it's a chance to rewrite her story on her terms. The show's unique format, bringing back experienced islanders rather than newcomers, adds an interesting dynamic.
These contestants know the drill, understand the pressure, and importantly, have had time to reflect on their first experiences.
As Love Island All Stars continues to unfold, Reynolds' journey will be particularly interesting to watch. Will her previous experience in the villa give her an advantage? Can she find a connection as strong as her bond with Ovie? Only time will tell, but one thing's certain – this Reading model is determined to make the most of her second chance at villa life.
