Love is in the air – or at least the potential for it – as Love Island: All Stars kicked off its second season with a bang in South Africa. Host Maya Jama welcomed 12 familiar faces back to the villa, each hoping to find what they missed the first time around. But this time, the initial matchmaking wasn't left to chance or personal choice – it was in the viewers' hands.
After an ice-breaker challenge that had the contestants squirming (and some rekindling old flames), the public vote revealed six brand-new couples: Kaz and Curtis, India and Scott, Catherine and Nas, Olivia and Luca, Elma and Ronnie, and Gabby and Marcel.
Just when everyone thought they could settle in, Love Island: All Stars threw its first curveball – enter season eight winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu as the first bombshell, armed with three dates to shake things up.
Love Island: All Stars Season 2: Meet the couples
The public's matchmaking skills have created some intriguing pairings, mixing veterans with relative newcomers and even reuniting former flames. Here's how each couple is faring in the early days of their villa experience.
Gabby Allen and Marcel Somerville
Talk about déjà vu. This pairing from Love Island Season 3 brings some serious history to the villa. Their post-show relationship ended dramatically, with Marcel candidly admitting,
"I ended up playing the field while I was still in the relationship—wasn't the best choice."
Allen, single for the past year, wasted no time in establishing boundaries, playfully banishing Somerville to the day beds on Love Island: All Stars.
Kaz Crossley and Curtis Pritchard
Season 5's Curtis Pritchard and season 4's Kaz Crossley both enter this coupling with high-profile relationships in their rear-view mirror. Crossley reflected on her past romance, sharing,
"I thought it was the real deal, but then we broke up."
Their pairing represents a clean slate for both contestants.
Catherine Agbaje and Nas Majeed
This coupling brings together Nas Majeed from season 6 and Catherine Agbaje from season 10. While Majeed enters hoping that "fingers crossed I find love again" following his split from Eva Zapico, Agbaje has made her intentions clear about wanting to be a "wifey." Their shared seriousness about finding lasting love could make them ones to watch.
India Reynolds and Scott Thomas
The pairing of India Reynolds and season 2's Scott Thomas brings an interesting dynamic – they're already acquainted. "We have known each other for a long time, but let's see what happens," Reynolds noted. Their pre-existing friendship could either jumpstart their romance or complicate things entirely.
Olivia Hawkins and Luca Bish
Season 8's Luca Bish enters this coupling with some sharp words about his past relationship, noting that his time with Gemma Owen "lasted a few months... too long." His partner, season 9's Olivia Hawkins, brings her relationship baggage. However, Bish seems optimistic, stating, "She's a beautiful girl, and it will be nice to get to know her."
Elma Pazar and Ronnie Vint
Season 5's star Elma Pazar (who lasted just six days in her original stint) pairs with season 11's Ronnie Vint. Vint, notorious for his involvement in love triangles during his first appearance, claims to be taking a different approach this time around.
What to expect from Season 2 of Love Island All Stars?
With Ekin-Su's dramatic entrance to Love Island: All Stars as the first bombshell and three mystery dates on the horizon, these newly-formed couples face their first test before they've even had time to unpack. Will old flames rekindle? Can fresh connections survive the imminent shake-up? And which couple will be the first to face Ekin-Su's decision?
