What happened on Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 9?
One of the main highlights of Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 9 was the conversation between Lauren and David. The couple discussed what the next stage of their relationship was going to be as only eighteen days remained until the scheduled date of their wedding ceremony.
When David found out through his friends, that one of their mutuals was a guy Lauren was physically intimate with, he confronted her. David questioned whether Lauren was ready for marriage due to the information he got to know. According to David, Lauren had been hooking up with that guy "48 hours" before she entered the pods.
Lauren defended herself clarifying that it was a "friends with benefits" type of situation that lasted for two months. Lauren stated that there were no emotional strings attached and that she had not hooked up for a while before joining the show. She continued:
"This was a very explicit, like friends-with-benefits situation. It's probably longer than it feels good to think about and hear about. But, I don't understand how me hooking up with someone for two months, equates me not being ready for marriage. And that's where I'm struggling too. I'm not trying to hide anything. I'm so honest with you about this."
She continued emphasizing how a situation from her past was affecting her current relationship when it was insignificant in her eyes. The Love is Blind star said:
"I'm not trying to discredit how you are feeling about this but I am confused that this is the thing that is prohibiting us from figuring out if we want to get married."
Towards the end of their conversation, David admitted that he was "tempted to walk away" and mentioned that he was trying to work things out. But he felt that having some space between them was the best way to deal with this matter. Concluding their conversation, David reassured her saying he still loved her but needed to figure things out.
