What happened on Love is Blind season 8 episode 5?

In Love is Blind season 8 episode 5, three of the cast members, David, Molly, and Lauren are entangled in a love triangle. In the previous episode, David was rethinking his final decision and was unsure about how to end things with Molly. During her confessional interview, Molly told the cameras she was confident that she and David would end up together.

As David had been "validating" her feelings and reassuring her about their future, Molly felt their connection had grown stronger the more they got to know each other. However, she was shocked when an emotional David broke down opening up about his "strong feelings" for Lauren.

Both the Love is Blind Season 8 cast members, Molly and Lauren sat down to talk about what had happened in the pods. Molly stated that David had made promises to her meanwhile Lauren felt he should not have put both of them in this position. When it was time for Lauren and David's pod date, the 31-year-old asked for clarification.

The Love is Blind Season 8 star questioned whether David had promised Molly that he would pursue her instead. She stated:

"One of my friends had said Molly was waiting for someone to walk in having been broken up with. So my question is, were there promises you made about ending things with me earlier today? She was like I can tell you promises that were made."

David clarified stating that he had mentioned to Molly that he wanted to see where their connection would lead them. He continued by saying that no promises of ending things with Lauren were made with Molly. He said:

"I in no way promised her that I was going to do that. And when I was ending it with Molly, she didn't seem to, not that she didn't care, but I was like, I feel like you're way too cool with this. I was like, I really do have such strong feelings for Lauren."

The upcoming episodes will further reveal details of Lauren and David's progressing relationship as a heartbroken Molly goes her separate way. The next batch of Love is Blind Season 8 episodes are set to air on Netflix on Friday, February 21, 2025.
