Netflix premiered Love is Blind Season 8 on February 14, 2025. The second episode of the popular franchise aired the same day, featuring singles advancing in their blind dates phase.
During the second episode, Ben confessed that Sara had qualities he had been looking for in a wife. After learning about Dave's other connection with Molly, Lauren struggled.
Love is Blind star Madison confessed that she "narrowed down" her choices to Alex and Mason. While Devin was confused between Brittany and Virginia. The second episode of the social experiment also featured Joey and Monica, who got engaged.

Love is Blind Season 8's second episode, Open Hearts, Open Minds, Can't Lose, started with Taylor and Daniel's date, where her throat was still sore and she could barely speak. She opened up about her dad's cancer diagnosis, while Daniel also opened up about his dad.
The next date was between Sara and Ben. They discussed their favorite snacks and learned they were both "huge foodies."
"I can't wait for you to try my dad's steak and can't wait to try your dad's steak," said Sara.
They also talked about religion, and Sara opened up about her queer sister, who was, for her, "the best" person ever. Listening to that, Ben shared his views on the LGBTQ community and how some of his friends also belong to it.
After Lauren learned that Molly was Dave's other connection, she got emotional. Later on, she had a date with him.
"It's kind of crazy how different fears about all of this have changed in the last, like, 24 hours. I think going ino this, I had a fear that I wouldn't be able to fully, like, feel some of these feelings in a setting like this," shared Lauren.
She also expressed that the situation could "leave her very hurt." They talked about music, and then she asked Dave about his "deepest darkest" secret. He said he "actually had" feelings for her," which she also reciprocated.
After that, Dave's next date was with Molly. He mentioned that they had "natural chemistry." While she opened up about the house she purchased, Dave mentioned his "medical distributing thing" business. He revealed his infidelity in the past, while Molly mentioned that she would not judge someone based on their past.
Monica and Joey had a date where they listened to her "family jam song" and practiced her dad's signature dance move. Later, when sharing about her grandma and how she struggles with memory, Monica got emotional. Both confessed that it was "the best" date they've had.
Further, in Love is Blind's second episode, Madison had a date with Alex. He mentioned that he was constantly smiling and then asked her if she was a cuddler.
"Cuddling is my favorite thing ever," replied Madison.
Further in the episode, Madison confessed to the cameras that she narrowed her choices to Mason and Alex. However, she was not ready to decide between the two, which she called "the weirdest thing" to say.
Madison's next date was with Mason. He expressed his fondness for Madison, and they talked about Halloween costumes. She mentioned having "effortless comfortability" with him, while he stated that he "really enjoyed" hanging out with her.
"I've never connected with anyone the way that I've connected with Meg," confessed Mason.
The next day, Mason had a date with Meg, where they talked about their potential partner's pet names and how they enjoyed making forts at home. He was pleasantly surprised when she brought up Her, his favorite movie.
Next day on Love is Blind Season 8: Devin's confusion between Virginia and Brittany
Virginia and Devin's date started with discussing their outfits, after which she described what she was wearing. She then shared that Davin was "quite refreshing" from the "type of guys" she had dated. After their date, Devin confessed to being confused between Virginia and Brittany.
His next date was with Brittany. They learned that their fathers shared the same name, Willie, while Brittany opened up by saying that she didn't tell her father about the experiment.
"So I did tell my mom. My mom, her jaw dropped. She was like, "What?" Her reservations were more so about, like, reality TV and protecting me from, like, weird things," Brittany confessed.
Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 2: Joey and Monica become the first engaged couple
The next date was between Joey and Monica, who talked about Penguins and how they are monogamous animals. He confessed to Monica and stated that he had an "incredible time" falling in love with her as a person, her laugh, and her voice. From his pod, Joey got on his knee without seeing Monica and proposed to her.
"Yes! Absolutely. Oh my God!" said Monica.
Joey and Monica became the first couple on Love is Blind Season 8 to get engaged.
Love is Blind Season 8: Madison's dates with Alex and Mason, followed by Meg's emotional confession
Madison had a date with Alex and said she had woken up thinking about him. While they talked about conflicts in relationships, she opened up about how she had been cheated on "multiple times." Further on their date, they talked about Madison's childhood and how she was abandoned when she was young.
Madison's next date was with Mason, and they listened to music and talked about physical intimacy and her outfits.
Further on the second episode of Love is Blind Season 8, Meg learned from Vanessa, who heard from Madison that Horachek (Mason's last name) meant he was from Czechoslovakia.
"Hearing that is just, like, a punch to the gut," confessed Meg.
Meg's next date was with Mason. They discussed Halloween costumes, past relationships, reincarnation, and more.
Love is Blind Season 8 Episode 2 ended with Monica and Joey's first meeting. Before they could see each other for the first time during their big reveal, the episode ended.
