Love is Blind: Habibi's "Golden Couple" Safa and Mohammad: Latest relationship update
Netflix's much-awaited reunion episode for Love is Blind: Habibi aired on November 1, 2024. The episode revealed which engaged/ married couples were still together and who parted ways. The sole married couple, Safa and Mohammad, shared how the first year of their marriage went.
Co-host Elham Ali referred to the couple as "The Golden Couple" because they were the only couple to say "yes" and get married on the show's debut season.
"The golden couple. That which makes us happy. The beautiful couple that proved to us and everyone that love is truly blind. Do you realize it's been a year since your marriage?"
To that, the couple, Safa and Mohammad, humorously teased that their first anniversary was the day after the reunion. Sharing about his love for Safa, Mohammad mentioned that his love for Safa was growing "daily." He shared that they had a "year-long" honeymoon.
The male co-host, Khaled Saqer, asked about the honeymoon, including travel plans and more, to which Mohammad replied:
"We did travel. A lot."
However, referring to Safa's work, where she often had to travel, every week, the newlyweds were asked about how they were managing that. The male cast member said that they solved the problem.
"We went to The Global Village. Each corner is a different country," shared Safa.
Love is Blind: Habibi star teased how he showed his wife "the world."
"And we spent the rest of the week at IKEA to find our wardrobe," added Safa.
When Safa mentioned they bought a new closet, her husband added that she brought "an entire truck" because she had "so much stuff."
Safa then revealed how the couple didn't travel during their honeymoon, but they traveled "a lot" later. Everyone then witnessed a clip containing various photos and videos featuring the first year of Safa and Mohammnad's life.
The clip showed how the couple spent their first Valentine's Day, a 5-month anniversary party, Mohammad's first birthday with Safa, and more occasions. While watching the clip, Safa got emotional.
Show host Elham Ali mentioned:
"Many viewers doubted about your genuine search for a life partner. Your goal might be seeking fame or such things, and people have the right to question and doubt. You're a great example for those doubters."
To that, the Love is Blind: Habibi star mentioned how he didn't expect to "come out" of the experiment as a married person. His motivation during the experiment was to find a life partner. Safa added, teasing, that he won the lottery. He said that if given a chance to go back in time:
"I would do it again with Safa."
He also mentioned that marrying Safa was the "best decision" of his life.
On the other hand, Safa mentioned how she was afraid during the experiment's initial phase, but then, "it happened," and she said yes.
Talking about the blind date phase, which happens through pods, Safa shared that whenever she had a blind date with Mohammad, she would leave "very happy." It was because he "matched" her priorities perfectly. She mentioned that he was also family—and career-oriented.
Fans can stream Love is Blind: Habibi on Netflix to witness Safa and Mohammad's journey from blind dates to getting to know each other and their wedding ceremony.
