Since Netflix aired Love is Blind: Habibi on October 10, 2024, fans have binge-watched the Arab-spin spin-off show. Originally, Love is Blind features a few different phases of the social experiment. However, seeing the cultural diversity and roots intertwined with the participants, the show introduced a few changes to the format.
As the platform already released all the dating show episodes, fans are eager to know about the upcoming Love is Blind: Habibi reunion. As per the show's format, the reunion episode is generally aired a week after the show's finale has been released. However, this version has been a bit different.
Officially, Netflix, via Tudum, has already revealed,
"Check back soon for more details about when the pod squad will reunite."
There has been no official update as of right now. Seeing the popularity and how some of the couples get engaged by the show's finale, there has to be a reunion.
Fans might already know that apart from the US version of Love is Blind, there are also various international versions. It includes Japan, Brazil, the UK, Germany, Sweden, Argentina, and Mexico.
Is there going to be a Love is Blind: Habibi Reunion: Possibilities explored
Recently, Netflix released Love is Blind: Habibi on Thursday, October 10, 2024. Unlike the show's usual format, the platform aired all nine episodes of the social dating experiment on the same day.
For most Love is Blind franchises, the platform releases episodes in various batches over a few weeks. The reunion episode is aired a week after revealing the show's finale. However, as fans have already figured out, that is not true with the current spin-off.
As of now, fans are eagerly waiting for the reunion since they have witnessed various participants' journeys throughout the pods and the following phases. For them, Netflix will soon reveal the release date for Love is Blind: Habibi reunion. Since Netflix has already shared with the viewers to "check back soon," there is a strong possibility that the reunion will happen soon.
For such dating shows, having a reunion is crucial since it acts as the "closure" for the fans and the participants. As fans might already know, many participants initially find more than one potential connection. However, to move forward, they need to pursue only one connection that they feel strongly about.
Additionally, for the couples who got engaged but did not get married or parted ways for any reason, learning their side of the story is also something fans eagerly await.
What happened on Love is Blind: Habibi?
(Disclaimer: The following part contains major spoilers and couple reveals from Love is Blind: Habibi)
The social experiment featured 20 participants, 10 male and 10 female contestants. From them, the participants who found their potential connection were:
- Karma and Ammar,
- Hajar and Simo,
- Safa and Mohammed,
- Asma and Khatab,
- Dounia and Chafic,
- Noor and Mido.
However, only three of them made it to the finale episodes, which featured the final phase of the experiment, "Weddings." These couples were Asma and Khatab, Dounia and Chafic, and Safa and Mohammed.
Among these three couples, Safa and Mohammed, after saying "yes," got legally married in front of the sheik, who officiated their wedding in the presence of their families.
Throughout the show, fans learned about various unique concepts proposed by the showmakers. For instance, generally, a Love is Blind season would feature a "honeymoon" phase. It features couples getting intimate as they explore their physical connection with their partners.
However, for Love is Blind: Habibi, since participants have Middle Eastern roots and cultural norms surrounding them, the phase was called "vacation." It featured engaged couples going to a resort where they spend their time during the day together and explore their connections with their partner.
After introducing such exciting things and unique concepts, fans have been eagerly waiting to see their favorite participants and couples for the upcoming reunion.
For that, fans might need to wait until Netflix officially announces the reunion confirmation, followed by the release date.
Until then, viewers can binge-watch Love is Blind: Habibi's nine episodes on the platform.
