Lizzo is about to appear on Saturday Night Live this weekend on April 13, 2025, as a musical guest while John Hamm hosts. A promotional video was released by the show a few hours ago in which Lizzo can be seen rocking an afro and a Britney Spears t-shirt.
The music artist has multiple projects lined up, such as her album called Love in Real Life, which she will be promoting during the upcoming episode.
As for the pop icon on her t-shirt, Lizzo can be seen paying homage to "the legendary Miss Britney Spears." This is the fourth time that Lizzo has been invited as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live. As for Spears, she has appeared twice in the early 2000s.
The promo features the awkward chemistry between Lizzo and Hamm and their castmates for the episodes, Bowen Yang and Marvello Hernandez. The introduction where John Hamm introduces himself repeats more than three times, and each of these instances somehow goes south.
The biggest shock of all is how John Hamm's first name is also Hamm. John is his middle name. Furthering the conversation, the quartet talks about how this is not their first time being in a room together.
John looked embarrassed when this topic came up when his castmate revealed that they had been in a Fortnite tournament together. However, John cleared what he was thinking and said he started reminiscing about the time they all "h**ked up." The introduction then starts again.
During their third time introducing themselves, they screamed their favorite food together on the count of three, which was mozzarella sticks. Then they decided to name their favorite movie at the same time, which was,
"'Angels in the Outfield,' the heartwarming 1994 sports comedy starring Danny Glover and a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt."
Lizzo remarks that it was weird, but John corrects her, saying that it was "weird-mazing."

Lizzo has an upcoming album that she is expected to promote as a guest on Saturday Night Live this weekend. However, the album does not have a release date yet.
Only one of the songs has been revealed by the artist, called "Still Bad." The good news out of it all is that the album is finished, as Lizzo announced on her Instagram.
Given the fact that celebrities often reveal the release dates of their new projects at public events, fans will not be surprised if Lizzo uses the platform on Saturday Night Live to finalize a date for her album.
Writing on her Instagram about her album completion, Lizzo said,
"ALBUM IS DONE YALL! ASTROLOGY EXPERTS Do my mercury got micro braids? Cus I got an emergency root canal, announced SNL & finished my album all in one day today.”
