Joe was seriously injured in Lioness Season 2 Episode 6

Episode 5 set up the storyline for Joe in Lioness Season 2. The team headed by Joe tried to intercept the Mexican team at the border to save the children.

This was done to ensure the safety of the children. However, this mission turned haywire when one of the men revealed himself to be a suicide bomber and blew the entire group and the children into nothingness.

While Joe was unharmed from the explosion, she was visibly shaken and blamed herself for the death of all those children, who all died.

On the plane, she suspected that something was wrong with her and found a gunshot wound on her, with no exit, which meant the bullet was still inside her body. She suspected that the bullet had reached her liver from the dark hue of the blood. She asked Kaitlyn to get a surgical team.

Her blood pressure and pulse were low, and the co-pilot performed a needle decompression on her to remove the excess air from her lungs. However, she was unconscious after this.

The bullet deeply penetrated her liver, and her fate still hangs in the air.

The episode also saw an uncomfortable conversation between Josie and her father, Pablo. She reveals that 'they' know who he is and his connection with her uncle's cartel.

Pablo instantly becomes furious with this and starts to slap his daughter; suddenly, Cruz interferes and reveals that they are the CIA. Pablo's men see this on footage and arrive. However, they are stopped by Two Cups and Randy.

Cruz offers Pablo two options: one that they will arrest him for his role in the cartels and seize his assets or two that he can help them identify a foreign suspect and take witness protection after that.

Pablo hesitantly chooses the second.

Is Guiterrez a mole in Lioness Season 2 Episode 6?

When the team is searching Pablo's house, Kyle searches for a maid who is revealed to be wearing a wire. She is discovered to be an agent for DEA Agent Guiterrez.

Their mission is in jeopardy, and the team blames Guiterrez for being a mole. They torture him at the base for information, and Kaitlyn takes over, saying she will release information about his family.

Guiterrez reveals that the maid was once her son's nanny, and he had her surveil the Carillo estate for years. He has found no hard evidence linking him to the drug cartel, and his account is also clear.

Kaitlyn orders the team to do a polygraph test on Guiterrez to confirm his story.
