It's no secret that Kevin O'Leary, the Shark Tank investor, is an avid watch lover. Recently on his Instagram, he shared yet another curious product with the fans. It happens to be the Mido Ocean Star GMT. Kevin labeled the watch as the "cheapest world timer."

The watch is equipped with a practical world timer which makes it easy to follow two time zones at once. The watch comes with a power reserve of 80 hours. Kevin was quite intrigued by the face of the watch and said that "there is a lot going on" with it.

The world timer feature is made possible on the watch through an additional time zone. According to the official website of the watchmaker Mido, they claim that this extra hand,

"Makes one complete revolution in 24 hours and uses a bezel graduated over 24 hours to indicate a second time zone."

Kevin is presented with this watch by Teddy Baldassarre. He is a retailer of luxury watches and is often featured on the Shark Tank investor's Instagram bringing curious new products for him to try on. Writing about the watch in his caption, Kevin said,

"This one is like a Dart Board! The Mido Ocean Star GMT is a world timer and diver’s tool with a retro vibe. With a stunning design and a price under $1,500, this one’s a winner. There is a lot going on in the dial. 🌍🌊"

Teddy introduces the Mido Ocean Star GMT to Kevin who is amazed by "a lot of stuff on that dial." Explaining further, Teddy says that the watch is within the price range of $1500 and is made by a Swiss company called Mido. What sets it apart is the dial that has an extra hand. It could be used to know the world's time. Teddy says,

"This is getting too close to that thirteen to fifteen hundred dollar price point. This is a brand called Medo. It's Swiss. So you look at it and you're like what the hell is going on here? So few things going on here. One is, that this is their Ocean Star GMT.

Continuing, he said,

But what they've done is the outside, with the use of that additional hand for 24 hours, you can have some world-time functionality. So you can rotate this bezel, align it up with the right time zones you have, and view."

Shark Tank's Kevin appreciates how the watch can show two different time zones. However, says that nobody does it but it is a great feature. Teddy points out that he is talking to a man who is wearing two watches right now. To this, the Shark Tank investor jokingly replies that he loves to do that. Teddy says,

"I know you do, I know you do. And then this is a decompression scale. So, not really useful nowadays. And it's also, we'll call that a Fire GMT or a true GMT, this is for under $1500."

Kevin then takes the watch into his own hands and analyses the hardware. The world timer feature along with its dial is what he is most interested in. Appreciating the product, he says,

"But it's got a really interesting look... World timer, there's so much going on here, Mido."

Kevin loves watches and often shares some of them that he feels are a great product within a certain price range. Even his Instagram profile picture had a photo of him holding two watches over his eyes and smiling.

He was recently in the headlines for his offer to buy TikTok. In the meantime, he and Frank McCourt have also announced a new AI Data Centre project located in Alberta, Canada.
