Jeopardy! Season 41 recently celebrated the current season's first Tournament of Champions spot for Mark Fitzpatrick. After winning his fifth streak on Jeopardy!, the star player revealed how he "got his butt" whooped during the game.

Hard-core fans following the trivia show witnessed the game on Thursday, October 10, 2024, where Mark Fitzpatrick, a content manager, secured multiple wins under his name.

After winning his fifth game, Mark's winnings almost reached a six-digit figure on Jeopardy! Seeing such a huge win, fans celebrated Mark's win and ToC (Tournament of Champions) through social media platforms.

One of the fans shared,

"With his 5th W, let's welcome Mark Fitzpatrick to the Tournament of Champions. #Jeopardy."

A fan commented about Mark's first win,

"J! champ Ryan Manton lost to new challenger Mark Fitzpatrick thanks to DAILY DOUBLE's in DOUBLE leading him to be the only one in FINAL to give the correct response to become a new @Jeopardy! champion with a 1 DAY cash winnings total of $30,401. See ya on Monday. #Jeopardy."

Another Jeopardy! fan celebrated Mark's second win and shared,

"Triple stumper FJ today in a tougher-than-it-should-be clue. I wonder if they would have accepted Coke instead of Coca-Cola. Mark Fitzpatrick becomes a 2-day #Jeopardy champ in a runaway. He'll go for 3 tomorrow."

An X user shared about Mark's third win and shared,

"Easy FJ clue that surprisingly ended up a triple-stumper. The contestants likely were looking for a country's flag. Mark Fitzpatrick wins his 3rd #Jeopardy game. FJ wagering decided this game."

Fans shared Mark's fourth win and commented,

"Whoa, a 3rd straight triple-stumper FJ. It's fairly easy to deduce if you're a crossword puzzle nut. Another word for "trail" is "path," hence "pathfinder." Mark Fitzpatrick wins his 4th #Jeopardy game, another runaway. He should be in ToC. He'll go for 5."

Game show fans celebrated Mark's fifth win and ToC by sharing,

"Fair enough FJ. Never watched "Goodfellas" or "The Sopranos." Mark Fitzpatrick officially joins the #Jeopardy ToC by winning his 5th game. It's odd that he sounds Irish, but previously claimed to have had an English accent."

When Mark defeated the previous champion, Ryan Manton, fans commented,

"Haven't made a #Jeopardy update post b/c there's been a smattering of 2-day champs lately (unless you're David Erb, who lasted 3 games). And I hoped Ryan Manton would auto-qualify for the ToC yesterday, but not before local Tri-State area resident Mark Fitzpatrick took him out."

Going into the October 10, 2024 episode's game, Mark was already a champion with his winning streak. He had $81,600, and his winnings increased to $107,201.

During his Daily Double, Mark, a Riverside, Connecticut native, managed to win over his competitors.

Later, the star player went into the final game and won over $18,600 against his competitor, Cynthia, who was at $4,400. In the "movies" category, the Final Jeopardy! clue was,

"More than 25 cast members from this 1990 film drama would later appear on an HBO series with a similar theme."

The correct answer was, "What is Goodfellas?" which Cynthia couldn't identify and answer; however, Mark was on point. For the game #5, Mark won around $25,601.

Seeing such a fantastic performance from the star contestant, fans took to social media platform X to celebrate Mark Fitzpatrick's ToC qualifying.

Fans can stream Jeopardy! Season 41 on local cable networks and Hulu from the next day.
