The Legally Blonde prequel series that recently cast Lexi Minetree as the young Elle Woods has now found her mom. June Diane Raphael will play Elle's mom, Eva, in the Prime Video show Elle. The show will explore Elle Woods's childhood and school years that transformed her into the determined and confident woman she is in Legally Blonde.

In 2009, the third film of the Legally Blonde universe was released. Reese Witherspoon, who originally played Elle, does not star but is a producer as the show follows Elle's British twin cousins, portrayed by Camilla and Rebecca Rosso. Likewise, in this prequel series, Witherspoon shares the credit of executive producer.

The 2001 Legally Blonde film proved to be a box office success, making $140 million worldwide. The first 2 episodes of Elle are directed by Jason Moore. Therefore, with June Diane's casting, the fans believe the makers found a perfect mom for Elle. Let's know more about the actor and her character in Elle.

Who does the Legally Blonde Prequel series just cast?

The prequel series Elle cast June Diane Raphael as Eva, Elle's mother; however, the details about the character have not been disclosed yet. Eva will potentially contribute to the narrative that will help carve the Elle Woods we see in the original series.

Previously, Witherspoon revealed the casting of Minetree as young Elle through a warm video in which she can be seen revealing the news to the actor. Here, Witherspoon and June already shared a relationship with familiarity from Apple TV+'s The Morning Show, in which the former is executive producing and starring as well.

Here are some notable projects of the actor from the Legally Blonde prequel

Diane was born in New York and is ethnically Irish. From 2015 to 2022, June Diane played Brianna Hanson, the bold and witty daughter of Jane Fonda on Grace and Frankie. In 2013, she was also part of a satirical comedy where she starred as Piper Ferguson. Around the same year came her other reality show, which was a parody on contemporary dating culture—Burning Love. In addition to this, she has also written some books and films, such as Bride Wars (2009), which she co-wrote and acted in.

She also co-wrote a book encouraging women to engage in politics, Represent: The Woman's Guide to Running for Office and Changing the World. She appeared in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Year One, Blockers, and Long Shot. Weapons is another upcoming horror film by Zach Cregger, which will be released on January 16, 2026.
