What happened in the previous episode of Law & Order: SVU Season 26?

In Law & Order: SVU Season 26 Episode 12, the Special Victims Unit got involved in a troubling case about teenagers and a dangerous online scheme. It all started when the principal of Hartington Prep found an inappropriate photo of a student on a phone.

At first, it seemed like kids were just sharing pictures, but the SVU team soon realized it was much worse. The photo was sent through an app called Ghost Letter, which deleted messages and photos after a few days. This made it popular with teens, but someone was using it to trick kids into sending explicit photos.

The person pretended to be someone the teens knew, like a friend or crush, and then pressured them into sending pictures. The victims did not know each other. The only link was their college admissions advisor, Parker.

It turned out that Parker was running a child exploitation ring. He used fake identities to collect explicit photos from girls and traded them with boys. When the SVU team raided his home, Parker tried to destroy evidence but was caught.

He then offered to help the police catch other criminals in exchange for a deal. He claimed he was not a predator, just someone making money from the photos. ADA Carisi agreed to Parker’s deal, even though Captain Olivia Benson did not like the idea.

Parker helped set up a sting operation that led to the arrest of 49 pedophiles. However, one of the people caught was a man named Matthew, who was autistic. He didn’t understand what he did wrong, and Detective Silva felt bad for him.

She wanted to let him go, but Carisi refused saying Matthew might do it again without realizing it was wrong. In the end, Benson stepped in and convinced the District Attorney to drop the charges against Matthew.
