Peacock has dropped the official teaser for Law & Order: Organized Crime, Season 5. Created by Dick Wolf, Ilene Chaiken, and Matt Olmstead, the show is a spinoff of Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU and will premiere on April 17, 2025.
The official logline for Season 5 states:
"Season 5 explores the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism, and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did them in Rome,” an official synopsis of the show reads. “As his worlds collide, Stabler will put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice."
The show premiered in April 2021 and follows the veteran detective Elliot Stabler ( Christopher Meloni), who has joined the Organized Crime Task Force of NYPD. Meloni’s Stabler was the main character on Law & Order: SVU alongside Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson.
It initially aired on NBC, but for its fifth season, the crime drama will move to Peacock.

Peacock drops a teaser of Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5
As previously mentioned, the new season will premiere on April 17, 2025, in its new home, Peacock, after running four successful seasons on the NBC network.
Furthermore, it is also revealed that the Cristopher Meloni starter series will have 10 episodes. The first two will drop on its launch date, and the remaining will be available on a weekly basis.
In the teaser dropped by Peacock, Meloni’s Det. Stabler narrates the challenges he has faced in his pursuit of Justice. In the intense sequences shown in the teaser, Meloni’s Stabler is seen in several locations.
Although plot details about Season 5 have not been shared, it is likely that the major cliffhanger involving Stabler’s younger brother, Joe, who was last seen handcuffed to a briefcase containing a Russian nerve agent, will be resolved this season.
Cast and character guide of Law & Order: Organized Crime
Other than Meloni, there will be many actors returning, such as Danielle Mone Truitt as Sgt. Ayanna Bell, the head of the Task Force. Other characters like Dean Norris’s Randall Elliott, Ainsley Seiger as Detective Jet Slootmaekers, and Rick Gonzalez as Detective Bobby Reyes will also be returning.
Last year, it was reported by Deadline that Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio would be joining as a recurring character named Isabella Spezzano, who is described as someone from Elliott Stabler’s past. Apart from Mastrantonio, Jason Patric will join Law & Order: Organized Crime as Detective Tim McKenna.
As shown in the teaser, the new season is packed with high-octane action sequences with a strong ensemble cast.
