Landman, a 2024 television drama created by Taylor Sheridan, explores the complex world of oil industries in West Texas. The series is centered around the life of Tommy Norris, a seasoned oil executive who is struggling to bring his company to the top during the fuelling boom.

Tommy Norris struggles both at work and at home, episode 5, Landman
Throughout episode 5 of Landman, Tommy is struggling at his workplace and at home with Angela. This also made him the focal point among the many characters in the cartel.
The cartel attempts to get money from Tommy for the truck crash in episode 1 as it has resulted in the recent drug supply going into vain. The cartel still faces problems as the boss refuses to send the crew back in the patch till the criminal business activities are dealt with.
On the other hand, at Tommy's home, Angela prepares a family dinner. The scene ends with them fighting which they eventually resolve and get back to each other showcasing maturing since the divorce.
Unexpectedly Tommy allows Angela to go with him to see Monty. They stopped at a rig where pipes are haphazardly stacked. One worker attempts to kick them and they topple over his body, crushing him to death. Angela witnesses this and realizes how Tommy's work affects him mentally.
Cooper's struggles to deal with grief, episode 5, Landman
In the episode, Cooper is determined to do right to the deceased friends he lost in the series premiere. Ariana at the end of episode 4 calls Cooper and Episode 5 picks from him visiting her home. They connect over the feeling of shared loss. While Cooper also helps her organize bills and mow her lawn. Further, in a violent confrontation with Manuel Ariana's ex-partner, she stands up for herself and kisses Cooper to anger her cousin.
The episode further witnesses their growing relationship, showing how people learn to deal with pain eventually and find hope in hopelessness. This is undone by Manuel when he along with a group of other men beats up Coorper mercilessly.
Therefore, Landman's episode 5 developments offer plenty of intrigue and the series beautifully balances the conflicts of the characters at the workplace and in relationships.
