The latest one from the house of Taylor Sheridan, Landman is another show in the neo-western genre, based on the podcast Boomtown by Texas Monthly. Active in the industry since 1996, Jon Hamm is most popular for his role of Don Draper, in the widely acclaimed show Mad Men. Besides Mad Men, Hamm has also been part of various other films and shows, including Top Gun: Maverick, Transformers One, Fargo Season 5, The Morning Show Season 3, etc.

Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris

A crisis executive at the oil company M-Tex Oil, Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris is the central character of Landman. As a fixer, his life is naturally riddled with numerous dangerous situations and the opening of Landman proved that since he got kidnapped by the Mexican cartel at the very beginning of the show.

Norris’ personal life is also not that smooth and he has to continuously juggle his personal and professional troubles. However, he is a man of this oil industry, and no matter what, he knows all of its nooks and corners, which makes him good at what he does therefore despite being severely in debt, he manages to survive.

Billy Bob Thornton is an industry veteran whose claim to fame came with Sling Blade, which also got him the Oscar. Besides that, his other projects include Armageddon, Goliath, Fargo, Bad Santa, etc. He has previously worked with Sheridan as well since he had a small role in 1883, a prequel of Yellowstone.

Demi Moore as Cami Miller

Like Monty’s character, nothing much is revealed about his wife Cami Miller’s character either. Played by the legendary actress Demi Moore, Cami is also a friend of Tommy Norris. She has made only fleeting appearances in the show, though it can be speculated that there can be more to the character than whatever meets the eye.

Demi Moore has been working in the industry since 1981 and coming from Mexico, she made her place in Hollywood with films like A Few Good Men and Ghost. Before starring in Landman, she also worked on another show, titled Feud: Capote vs. The Swans. Her other projects include Disclosure, About Last Night…, The Substance, etc.

Ali Larter as Angela Norris

Ali Larter stars as Angela Norris, the ex-wife of Tommy, with whom she has two children, Ainsley and Cooper. She is shown to be remarried to a rich man and seems to be a woman who loves to flirt.

Ali Larter hails from New Jersey and made a name for herself during the later 1990s with films like House on Haunted Hill, Varsity Blues, etc. She was also part of the hugely successful Final Destination franchise.
