Amazon Prime Video's satirical superhero drama series The Boys will finally conclude their superhero saga with an explosive Season 5.
Earlier, showrunner Ern Kirpke confirmed that the show will conclude with Season 5, which will likely arrive on Prime Video in early 2026.
Antony Starr, who plays the primary antagonist, Homelander, recently shared an update on the final season in a podcast with Josh Horowitz:
''I'm six episodes deep and I know what happens, know where it ends up and I love it. I think its great, it's challenging for the characters and the audience in a good way''
Considering the show's stars have already started reading the scripts and preparing for their respective characters for the final season, fans will soon see the battle between the titular group and the Supes.
In addition to Starr, the show's main cast includes Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, and many more.

The Boys' Homelander shares an update on the show's final season
Season 4 concluded with a major cliffhanger, where a post-credit scene revealed the return of Soldier Boy and, thus, an unbeatable team for Homelander in the series finale.
In an interview with Collider, Starr talked about the show's popularity and how he feels now that the show is ending with Season 5:
“It’s strange because as much as I love the show, I don't like seeing things outstay their welcome, so I'm kind of glad we're finishing at five, and that's it. I love the show and the characters, so it's a bittersweet moment.”
Teasing about the explosive Season 5 ending, he added:
“But the scripts, I've got to say, in typical Boys fashion, I never see it coming with this show. Every time I think I know what's going to happen, something else happens. This was no exception, these last scripts...I think fans are going to be either surprised or shocked, depending on their nervous system, but very, very entertained.”
What can you expect from The Boys' final season?
The show debuted in July 2019 and follows the battle between the Boys and the Supes.
While the Supes are superheroes, hailed in public for their generosity and work for Vought International, they are actually corrupt beyond repair. They are challenged by the titular group, a CIA-powered group that vows to bring down the facade created by the Superheroes.
Season 4 finally saw Homelander getting ahead of the titular group and one step closer to his goal of making the Supes the ultimate power on earth. Save for Butcher and Annie, Homelander successfully captured all the members of the titular group, which hints at the ultimate showdown in the finale season.
Starr's comments on the explosive Season 5 hints that Homelander's victory might be short-lived, and in no time will The Boys defeat him, ending their five-season saga, but not before great resistance from the Supe, now that he also has Soldier Boy by his side.
