Netflix’s thriller Just One Look, based on Harlan Coben’s best-selling novel of the same name, premiered on March 5, 2025. The show follows the story of Greta Remiewska (Maria Debska) as she discovers a photo of her husband and several other people from 15 years ago. This discovery starts a string of mysterious unravelings and brings back memories of a past trauma.
After a family vacation, Greta develops family photos and finds a mysterious photo amid the stack. In the photo, she sees her husband, Jacek (Cezary Lukaszevicz), with a girl whose face has been crossed out and several other strangers. The photo brings back Jacek’s lies and Greta’s memories of a concert, 15 years ago, in which many people died due to a fire and stampede, but she survived and has been suppressing the traumatic memories.
After seeing the photo, Greta's husband disappears. She starts investigating his disappearance and unravels many secrets, including his real identity and who is behind all these tragic events.

Just One Look: Who kidnapped Jacek, and what is his real identity?
As Greta starts to unravel the mysteries related to the photo, the first thing that surprises her is her husband’s real identity.
As the photo suggests, all of the mysteries surrounding the current investigations are linked to a concert in 2009 that all of these individuals, including Greta, attended.
It is revealed that Jacek, Alex, the girl in the photograph, and Szymon were part of a band, LAAD, and Jacek was involved in a fight with the singer in the concert, Jimmy, as he accused him of stealing his song, Just One Look. During the fight, Jacek is hit by a sharp object and dies instantly. To let the royalties come to her, Jacek’s sister, Sandra, asks Szymon to pretend to be Jacek, and he has been carrying the act for 15 years.
However, after encountering the photograph, Szymon wants to come clean to his wife Greta but is kidnapped and beaten by Sandra’s men as she doesn’t like the secret being unraveled.
Just One Look: Sandra was the mastermind behind everything
Ultimately, it is revealed that Jacek’s sister, Sandra, who initially posed as a lawyer, is the real mastermind. After Jacek is killed in the fight, which Sandra instigated to claim the royalties of the song, she orchestrated the arson that took place in the concert and killed many people in the stampede.
She is also the one who kidnapped Szymon when he wanted to tell the truth to his wife, Greta. Her men beat him up badly, which results in him dying due to a cardiac arrest in the hospital.
Sandra is later found to be guilty of all the crimes she committed to claim her brother’s money and is arrested.
Other revelations in Just One Look
Alex’s father, prosecutor Borys Gajewicz, reveals at the end that he was the one who planted the photograph in Greta’s envelope as he wanted to find out who murdered his daughter.
He initially contacted Greta and told her that he received the same photograph and knew that his daughter was murdered. His intuitions are confirmed when a hit-man named Marek calls him and confesses to killing Alex.
After all the mysteries are solved and Greta’s suppressed traumatic memories come to the fore, she remembers the last important detail about the events that unfolded: that she took the photograph of Jacek, Alex, Szymon, and the others.
