Double Jeopardy! Round: The categories for this round were "Name That Supreme Court Justice; Plays & Playwrights; International Cities; African Americana; World War I Words; The Cinematic Vampire"

In this round, the clues were doubled to 30 and there were two Daily Doubles. We saw Laura playing well but still conservatively true to her style. She got both Daily Doubles which put her into the top position going into the Final round.

Final Jeopardy!: The category for the final round was "World Leaders". The clue was presented, which was,

"In 2009, this leader gave Barack Obama the book 'Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of a Continent.'"

The two contestants were thus given 30 seconds to think about the clue and answer and write their responses. They were then asked to wager. This was a huge moment that combined strategy and knowledge. The correct response could change the leaderboard entirely.

Nobody was able to guess the answer correctly which was,

"Hugo Chávez"
