For the 'Final Jeopardy' round, Ken Jennings, the host of the show introduced "Poetic Characters" as the category to the contestants and the audience.
The clue for the final round was,
"In an 1842 poem, it is said of this legendary character that his “quaint attire” is much admired."
The correct response to this clue was,
"Who is the Piper of Hamelin?"
The response 'Piper of Hamelin' refers to the legendary figure also known as 'rat-Catcher of Hamelin.'
