Robert Herjavec, a Shark Tank investor, recently appeared on The School of Greatness podcast, discussing many things. He recalled going from a "poor immigrant" to one of the most successful tech entrepreneurs.

While discussing that, he mentioned various incidents, examples, and insights from his experiences. During one of the segments featured on the podcast, Shark Tank mentor reflected on when he "needed help."

"It took the misery of others for me to realize that and I always think how arrogant and shallow is that. But I think it's hard. I think it's really hard to ask for help when you feel you're in control of your own destiny. Right. I think, I think powerful people and strong people have a hard time asking for help and I just needed help. I mean, it could have been anything," said Robert Herjavec.

Shark Tank mentor Robert Herjavec reveals what he prays for today after becoming such a renowned entrepreneur

The School of Greatness podcast's February 5, 2025 episode featured Shark Tank investor Robert Herjavec. While they chimed in on various topics, the host, Lewis Howes, asked Robert about how someone can learn their own value and how valuable they are.

"How does someone learn to know that they are valuable whether they have lots of money or they don't have lots of money?" asked the host.

Answering the question, Shark Tank mentor said that he sometimes recalls how "arrogant" he was because even after having all the "stuff," he used to feel "sorry for himself."

"I always think that like, I think about how arrogant was I to have all this stuff and feel so sorry for myself. Like why couldn't I on my own figure that out. Like, why couldn't I have used some of my wealth to do good. Like how shallow was I to focus on my own misery," said Robert Herjavec.

When the host asked Robert about his prayers and what he prays now that he has become one of the most successful tech entrepreneurs and investors, Robert replied, "Peace."

Shining light on his answer, the Shark Tank investor mentioned that along with peace, he also prays for joy and for his family to feel "fulfilled." Referring to all that, he recalled a conversation with someone, which was about "legacy."

"I was just talking to somebody about this, they said, "Do you worry about your legacy?" And I think, "No." Because once I'm gone, I'm gone. But what do I want my kids to remember about me? I want them to remember the joy and the love. I mean, I think that's what every human being wants: love, joy, and peace. I would also add financial success. Coz I think those aren't separate."

Talking more about "financial success," Robert stated that living in North America, individuals would need to earn a certain amount to "take care" of their family and that it was "just reality."

Fans can catch Robert Herjavec on Shark Tank Season 16 streaming on ABC.
