Shark Tank's Daymond John shared a clip from his appearance at the Black Entrepreneurs Day function via his Instagram on February 20, 2025. While the function was held on November 22, 2024, the Shark Tank entrepreneur discussed the rewards of hard work with Rashad Bilal.

The clip features Rashad Bilal, a fellow entrepreneur sharing his views on how rewards for "hard work" come to those who have actually "worked hard" and put in the "20,000" hours for the same.

The Shark Tank mentor captioned the clip with the following:

"Everyone dreams of the reward, but are you willing to work for it? At @BlackEntrepreneursDay, @rashadbilal shared something that hit hard: Rewards don’t come without hard work. Forget instant success, it’s a myth. So, are you ready to do the work required to level up? Keep that in mind as you tackle the rest of your week."

Rashad Bilal in talks with Shark Tank mentor Daymond John - Discussion about hard work, sacrifices, and rewards

Shark Tank mentor Daymond John shared a video clip via Instagram while tagging fellow entrepreneur Rashad Bilal, who also featured in the clip. For the fans who might not be aware, Daymond John curates the Free Black Entrepreneurship Livestream. It was held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Fox Theatre, Atlanta, GA.

Rashad Bilal could be seen sharing his thoughts on how sometimes people expect rewards and do not opt for hard work. He also shared about individuals wanting to be in certain events with "celebrities" but not wanting to stay late and work harder.

"What they (people) don't see is all of the work that you put in. People want the reward without going through the process. So like, that's a fact. They see us with celebrities and they were like, oh, I want to be in this party. I want to talk to Damonnd John. I want to go to Super Bowl," he stated.

He also talked about the extra timing and odd hours where hard-working individuals keep going, rather than giving up.

Rashad mentioned people's choice to not stay up until 2 am and dislikes for not wanting to wake up at 5 am. The entrepreneur referred to the odd timings as "nitty gritty" and stated further:

"They don't want to stay up to two o'clock in the morning. They don't want to wake up at five o'clock. They don't want to do all of the nitty gritty, dot the eyes, cross the T's. That part is optional."

The clip further saw Rashad mentioning "20,000" hours that hardworking individuals put in. He added Zoom calls, missing kids' birthdays, and "all those sacrifices" that individuals make and go through. He stated that people do not appreciate all those things.

Agreeing with him, Shark Tank mentor Daymond John mentioned that they don't know what "they don't know."

Fans can stream upcoming Shark Tank Season 16 episodes on ABC Network on Friday, February 28, 2025.
