Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary, on January 15, 2025, posted a reel from his recent appearance on CNN. He appeared for a discussion involving reports that former FLOTUS Michelle Obama will skip President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony.
While sharing the reel on his Instagram account, he wrote in the caption:

In a recently shared discussion clip from his interview with CNN, Shark Tank investor Kevin O'Leary opened up about why Michelle Obama should attend the upcoming inaugural ceremony.
Viewers must be aware of the upcoming inaugural ceremony for Donald Trump, which many renowned world leaders are expected to attend. Referring to how it's been an "over 100 years" old tradition, he mentioned:
"This is a tradition that's been around for over 100 years. You shouldn't do this. It doesn't matter who Donald Trump is or who isn't. It's the president of the United States - - "
When another panelist mentioned how Donald Trump, eight years ago, didn't appear for the ceremony, Kevin O'Leary said that he didn't "agree" with that either.
"I don't agree with that either. You should always show for the office, it doesn't matter. Then you say...You should have said, Donald should have shown (up). Everybody should show up for funerals and for inaugurations. Period," said the Shark Tank investor sharing his opinion.
Another panelist mentioned how Michelle Obama can make her "travel decisions." However, he thought that it could be "part of a pattern" from both sides and referred to it as "petty snubs."
Kevin O'Leary said that "nothing good" comes from either side. He then recalled how Michelle Obama "went high" and "lost." However, he came back to his original point of discussion where he mentioned:
"She should honor the office of the president."
