Netflix premiered Temptation Island on March 12, 2025, featuring Brion and Shanté among the four couples. They participated in testing their bond and the issues they have had with each other over various aspects of their relationship.
During the reality show, fans witnessed how Brion's physical intimacy with fellow participants known as "tempters." They were Alex and Courtney. After viewers learned about the incident and him being quite vocal about wanting a threesome, Brion recently revealed about getting hate and death threats.
In his latest interview with TMZ, published on March 26, 2025, the male cast member shared his experience since his appearance on the Netflix show.
"Seeing what Shante has been going through because of my actions has been super, super tough, and she's gotten it probably worse, as worse as me or anyone, and she sat there and read the Bible and cried the whole time, but she's gotten just bullied like crazy."
He added:
"And so it's tough having the comments on because we can't really post anything without getting a bunch of hate and just the craziest death threats and all. It's insane."

The latest season of Temptation Island featured Brion Whitley and his partner Shanté. As viewers might already know, Netflix describes the reality show as:
"In this spicy update to the hit reality series, four couples test their relationships by shacking up with eligible singles on a tropical island."
While on the show, viewers witnessed Brion getting physical intimate with multiple female participants. Throughout the show, he often mentioned wanting and/or having a threesome.
According to Netflix's March 19 update, the couple are still together and navigating their relationship despite a few differences. In his recent interview with TMZ, Brion regretted how his actions led to disappointing Shanté.
"I think that really broke me and I was like, hey, what am I doing? Did I get joy out of what I just did on the show? Maybe for what, five seconds, right? And then it's, it's just, I don't know, I get emotional now thinking about it because I like having to rewatch her pain and whatnot, I just feel stupid."
Further in his interview, Brion confessed that he wanted to "grow" with his person with an "emotional connection." He also mentioned that growing physically "flourishes" way more. He recalled learning "lessons" from his behavior on the reality show and mentioned how he "hated" his reaction to certain situations later on.
"I truly love Shanté, and it was, it was just, it was a bad moment that I had, and I'm glad I can learn from it. I hope people can learn from it as well," he added.
Temptation Island star revealed how it was "hard" to build his trust in his partner. However, he stated that they have been living together, and he has not been "sneaking off" anywhere. He expressed how he "loves" hanging out with Shanté, and they have "grown" really close.
"I would say it has grown tremendously and will continue and I haven't brought up any threesomes or anything like that."
He concluded the interview after revealing about receiving "hate" and death threats due to his actions on Netflix's Temptation Island.
