With three finalists competing against each other on The Great American Baking Show finale, Kim Goldfeder Clarke won the title. Along with her, fans witnessed Daniel Freiburger and Adela Mou.

The finale episode started with the final Signature challenge. For that, the hosts revealed the task. It was to prepare a chocolate tart, which required decorations. Daniel Freiburger faced an issue while preparing the tart, which led to his inability to finish on time. However, he tried his best and completed the challenge.

As the final Signature challenge began, Kim shared that she was "very excited," while Adela said it was "quiet" in the tent.

The Great American Baking Show star Daniel told the cameras:

"The final has officially started. It feels, like, real, you know what I mean? Having just the three of us here, now, we're doing he bakes. It's crazy."

After receiving instructions from the show hosts, the finalists started making their chocolate tarts. They were given two and a half hours to finish the challenge, which required them to have a decorated chocolate tree ready by the time it ended.

Regarding the final Signature challenge, one of the judges, Paul Hollywood, shared with the cameras:

"The final Signature challenge our bakers have to face, they have to make a chocolate tart. This thing is with a chocolate tart, they can be quite rich. You don't want to eat too much. So you wanna lighten that chocolate. Maybe using a white chocolate or cream to really lighten it up, so you feel, Oh yeah, I'm gonna have another slice."

The Great American Baking Show's Prue Leith stated that one of the important factors while baking a tart was the time required to set the filling. The reason was, they all had to decorate the chocolate tart. The decorations might not hold on top of unset mousse if not set properly.

The judges visited each of them as the finalists started to bake their tarts. Daniel revealed that his tart design was inspired by his wedding.

"So we got married in the winter, and our flavors of our cake were an orange spice and then a salted caramel chocolate. So those are flavors I'm putting in this," said Daniel.

He was going to make disco balls and add some sparkles for decorations. He also mentioned a white chocolate cage, which, according to him, looked like a "snowstorm."

Later, in The Great American Baking Show, Daniel faced an issue with his ganache, which was "set" for "too long." So, when he whisked it, it "kind of split." To get it back in shape and texture, he went on to warm it. Unfortunately, Daniel's ganache got some water into it.

"It's split and it may or may not set, uh, now that I had that water incident, but...Oh well, you know, that's how it goes sometimes," said Daniel.

As time was of the essence, Daniel's tart didn't have enough time to set as he still had to complete the decorations.
