CBS released the latest The Amazing Race Season 37 episode on April 9, 2025. With the sixth episode ending, fans witnessed one more elimination. The father and son duo, Jeff and Pops, became the latest team to be eliminated from the competition.
As fans know, each episode features an elimination that sends the last team home. Witnessing Jeff and Pops going home after the participants arrived in Dubai, some of the fans recalled how there used to be non-elimination legs in The Amazing Race.
As the show previously used to follow the format, fans saw non-elimination episodes where none of the teams were sent home. However, the show doesn't follow that format. Recalling that, fans discussed the recent eliminations from the CBS show and commented on X about how they missed the non-elimination leg of the competition series.
A fan wrote on social media platform X:
"It irriates my soul that there are no non-elimation legs.... They're bringing everything back but that non-elimation legs and two teams back to back that are liked are gone ...WTF @AmazingRaceCBS #theamazingrace #AmazingRace #AmazingRace37."
Another person commented about non-elimination legs of the show:
"Unfortunately non-elimination legs won't come back until the industry favors longer episode orders again. They're looked at as an extra (wasted) episode to a studio — when they're pinching pennies to make every season work these days. #TheAmazingRace."
One more The Amazing Race fan wrote about the non-elimination leg:
"Should have been a non-elimination leg, they were set up to fail - shameful production manipulation. Also why was everyone starting at the same time? Makes no sense, well it does if you want the top two to come in last #TheAmazingRace."
A netizen recalled the fifth episode's eliminated team Scott and Lori and mentioned how they missed the non-elimination leg:
"Scott and Lori were robbed. This should have been a non-elimination leg. #theamazingrace."
To that, another The Amazing Race fan replied and stated:
"Totally agree. It was unfair."
One more person replied:
"I loved their attitude! Yes robbed by the voting being open for who has to do both! The two top teams fell to the bottom, is this what production anticipated? Didn't seem to be a fair process."
An X user commented about no eliminations from the show during certain episodes:
"#TheAmazingRace Would have been a good week for a non-elimination leg. Teams ideally wouldn't get eliminated mainly because they're too good at racing."
A fan replied to that and mentioned:
"They don't do those anymore. I think they may do a mega leg this season, but overall I think people are suppose to go home every night. I was hoping for the other team tho."
The Amazing Race Season 37 Episode 6: Who went home so far?
The latest episode of The Amazing Race Season 37 Episode 6 featured one more elimination. Jeff Bailey and Jeff Bailey Junior were the team that was sent home. They were the seventh team to be eliminated from the competition show.
Over the course of six weeks, these are the eliminated teams:
- Week 1: Jackye Clayton and Lauren McKinney
- Week 2: Ernest Cato and Bridget Cato
- Week 3: Courtney Ramsey and Jasmin Carey
- Week 4: Bernie Gutierrez and Carrigain Scadden
- Week 5: Scott Thompson and Lori Thompson
- Week 6: Mark Crawford and Larry Graham
The show premiered with a total of 14 teams, of which seven are still in the game. The remaining participants advanced in the show as they arrived in Dubai.
During the sixth episode, after a series of tasks, two teams were competing closely with each other:
- Jeff "Pops" Bailey and Jeff Bailey
- Nick Fiorito and Mike Fiorito
While figuring out which train to take, Jeff and Pops missed their train. Soon, Nick and Mike joined the duo, and they all got on the same train together. Because of that, Jeff and Pops lost the time as their competing team caught up to them.
Before the final challenge ended, Nick and Mike made their way to the final Pit Stop. It resulted in Jeff and Pops failing to reach their destination and eventual elimination.
The Amazing Race Season 37 Episode 6 is now streaming on Paramount+.
