The Manhattan Alien Abduction is a three-part mini-series. Directed by Daniel Vernon, the show is about a case of alleged alien abduction. It gives insight into Linda Napolitano, a New York woman who claims to have been abducted by aliens and taken from her Lower Manhattan apartment to their spaceship on 25 January 1989.
The Manhattan Alien Abduction is based on a true story, chronicling the alleged Brooklyn Bridge abduction that happened to Linda Napolitano in November 1989. According to her account, she was taken from her Lower Manhattan apartment and later reported to UFO researcher Budd Hopkins, who later claimed to have found over two dozen witnesses who claimed to have seen Napolitano hovering over her building that night.
Attention was drawn to the story in the early 90s, but it gained popularity with Budd Hopkins' book Witnessed: The True Story of the Brooklyn Bridge Abduction, published in 1997. The whole story may not have been included in the Netflix series. Linda Napolitano, who originally went by the pseudonym Linda Cortile, has publicly denounced the Netflix series as false, claiming that she has been falsely portrayed as some sort of fantasist.
The Manhattan Alien Abduction: Linda Napolitano claims about being abducted by the aliens
Mrs Napolitano's story in The Manhattan Alien Abduction sounds surreal. She says three gray aliens came to her 12th-floor apartment in Manhattan on 30 November 1989. These aliens paralyzed her with a blue light and took her to their reddish-orange spaceship near the Brooklyn Bridge. On the ship, these beings performed some tests on her before returning her to her bedroom in New York without harming her.
She said she could not move as the blue light lifted her into the night sky and aboard the ship. She remembers being in a room where a metal device was implanted in her nose. The next time she opened her eyes, she was back in Manhattan with her husband; she felt like it had all been a dream until she found a lump in her nose.

Numerous people have witnessed Linda’s abduction by aliens
Linda claims that three aliens abducted her from her flat, took her aboard their spaceship, paralyzed her throughout the experience, and experimented on her. Ultimately, they brought her back to her apartment on the 12th floor. Witnesses claim that some of them saw Linda floating in the air near the Brooklyn Bridge.
The alleged incident mentioned in The Manhattan Alien Abduction occurred at 3 a.m. Linda claims she was asleep with her husband when the aliens woke her and told her to be quiet. They communicated in an unrecognizable language. Then she found herself back in bed, awake.
Most people would probably conclude that it was just a dream. However, for Linda, it was a real alien abduction, and she insists on this story to this day, almost thirty years after the event.
When Budd Hopkins began to ask questions about Linda's 'abduction' for his book, he received a letter from two security guards who said they had seen aliens and a woman in a nightgown floating in the sky on 30 November 1989. They visited Linda, and they became friends after the strange event. Hopkins' book claims that at least 23 witnesses backed Mrs Napolitano's story, but he never disclosed their real names or identities.
