Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft premiered on October 10, 2024, on Netflix. The series debuted with positive reviews from both critics and viewers, which hinted at the possibility of a second season.
However, with Netflix’s strange decision of not renewing shows like Kaos which also dropped all episodes together like Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft and had the viewers binging, no one was sure if this one would be renewed until the official announcement came.
On October 25, 2024, Netflix announced that Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has been renewed for a second season. Tasha Huo of Red Sonja: The Legend Begins, The Witcher: Blood Origin, and The Mighty Nein fame told Tudum:
“So Season 1, thematically, is about Lara embracing how her dad dealt with grief, which was isolating. When we meet Lara, she’s very isolated … As we get into Season 2, we’re trying to build Lara’s team over the course of the show, so she goes from isolated hero, who only wants to do things on her own — a lone wolf — to realizing, ‘Actually, I have this really cool team behind me.’ ”
Let us now explore all the details about Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft Season 2.
