The release window for the second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been officially revealed. However, we don't know the release date just yet. On the evening of March 14, 2025, fans of the Percy Jackson series were elated to learn that the second season of the Percy Jackson show will premiere this year in the month of December. This is a similar release window for the first season too.
The upcoming Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 will be adapting the second book in the Percy Jackson book series titled "The Sea of Monsters" written by Rick Riordan. It will follow Percy and Annabeth on a new adventure (NOT a quest though) to The Sea of Monsters. The official synopsis for the book reads:
"When Thalia’s tree is mysteriously poisoned, the magical borders of Camp Half-Blood begin to fail. Now Percy and his friends have just days to find the only magic item powerful to save the camp before it is overrun by monsters. The catch: they must sail into the Sea of Monsters to find it. Along the way, Percy must stage a daring rescue operation to save his old friend Grover, and he learns a terrible secret about his own family, which makes him question whether being the son of Poseidon is an honor or a curse."
Explaining the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 release window:
As stated earlier, the release schedule for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 is similar to that of Season 1. It will begin streaming somewhere close to the holiday season in December 2025 and conclude in January 2026. The premier month was officially confirmed in a Disney press release issued on March 14, 2025, green-lighting the third season.
In that press release, Disney Branded Television's head Ayo Davis said this while confirming the renewal for the third season:
“From the moment ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages. With season two set to premiere this December, we’re thrilled to announce that Percy’s journey will continue with a third season. Huge thanks to our incredible cast and creative team, our partners at 20th Television, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring Rick Riordan’s world to life with such depth and imagination.”
Now we have the month when the second season of the show based on the popular book series will premiere, all we need to do is wait patiently for the date on which it will begin streaming.
