The thriller series Yellowjackets Season 3 premiered on February 16, 2025. With the six episodes released so far, viewers have seen how the teens struggle to hold on to their humanity in the wilderness and the challenges they face in the present timeline due to the trauma of surviving.

Is Other Tai controlling Tai in Yellowjackets Season 3? Possibilities explored
The previous episode of Yellowjackets Season 3, titled Thanksgiving (Canada), showcased the devastating death of Coach Ben and the group's struggle in deciding his fate.
Another highlighted event in the episode was Taissa’s bizarre behavior. Her screaming, waking up abruptly from sleep, and then quickly falling back asleep add to the possibility of Other Tai returning this season. We last saw Other Tai’s presence in real Tai in Season 1 when her adopted son, Sammy, noticed the differences between the two personas, which terrified him.
Additionally, Tai eating meat again, despite being a vegetarian in previous seasons, suggests that Other Tai may have taken control. Her suggestion of making a blood sacrifice to improve Van’s health—whose cancer is in remission—also supports the possibility that Other Tai is behind these actions.
However, the main reason fans believe Tai’s sleepwalking persona is back is Sammy’s reaction to his mother. In Episode 5 of Yellowjackets Season 3, Simone informed Taissa that their son was asking for her. However, when she met Sammy at the playground, he asked if she was still his mother.
Since Sammy is the only one who can distinguish between real Tai and Other Tai, his words and reluctance to meet her suggest that Other Tai may have taken control of Taissa.
