Natalie from Severance has got everyone talking! She's a mysterious character who's got fans riled up, especially because of her job and whether she's severed like some folks in the show. Played by Sydney Cole Alexander, she's only been in a few scenes in the first season but has made an impact. She's always so calm and collected, and got the ear of the big shots at Lumon.
That's why some people think she might be severed—like, her work self doesn't know her home self—because she doesn't have a keycard and shows up at fancy events like the Eagan Gala without one. But others say she's got too much freedom and acts too normally to be severed.
As for Severance Season 2, we're all just guessing about what happens with Natalie. What we do know is that she has got the fans curious about whether she's just playing by Lumon's rules or if she has some tricks up her sleeve.
Natalie’s role and influence in Lumon Industries

People on the Severance subreddit have noticed that Natalie's place at Lumon is slightly special. For one thing, she's got a water drop pin that usually only part-timers wear, and she doesn't have the standard keycard to get around the floors. This makes it seem like she might have gone through severance: the whole mind-separation thing. But here she is, acting like she's in charge!
She fired Cobel, talked to the big shots on the Board, and even had Helly at the Gala like she was the hostess with the mostest.
One Reddit user, @mirandalikesplants, talked about how real her role feels:
“It’s weird to reinforce a company line regardless of your own feelings... It’s just your job.”
This view presents Natalie as more of a corporate communications guru than just a regular worker who got fired. At the same time, some have the idea that Natalie could be a robot. They think her always-on-point behavior and loyalty to the core could be because of some artificial brain inside her rather than being a real person who's just really into her job.
Her dealings with the Eagans keep everyone guessing too. There are whispers that she might be one of them, considering how much pull and influence she seems to have. If it turns out she's not super-human, her strong loyalty might come from having a personal connection with the company.

It's great news that Sydney Cole Alexander has been added to the cast of Severance Season 2. She's made her mark playing Natalie, who's become quite the pivotal figure, especially considering that epic Gala moment where everyone's convinced she's the one who brought down Helly. It has left us wondering if her storyline is finished or if there's more to her than meets the eye in terms of her ties to Lumon's bigwigs.
Moving on to the second episode of Severance Season 2, we've got Natalie taking on more of a mentor role with Helena, played by Britt Lower. Helena is trying to convince Helly to return to the office. Then there's Mr. Drummond, the head of Lumon security, played by Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, who's also pushing for Helly to come back so that Mark can complete this hush-hush Cold Harbor project.
Natalie has got Severance fans buzzing with all sorts of theories. Some think she could be a severed innie, while others suspect she's playing a clever game of corporate strategy. Whichever it is, she's certainly keeping us on our toes, and eager to see more of her in the new season.
