17-year-old Loki star Jack Veal recently shared on TikTok that he is presently homeless after having gone through an episode of abuse. In Tom Hiddleston's Marvel show Loki, Jack played the part of kid Loki.
Besides that, he is also known for his work in The End Of The F**king World and The Peripheral. But recently, his personal life has left fans concerned as he shared a two-minute video on TikTok on December 2, talking about his current state of mind, as per reports. Following this, he shared more clips on his social media handle after the initial ones became viral.
Veal has also asked his fans to make the video viral and further mentioned that it was not for money. He is first seen introducing himself in his video post before sharing the troublesome situation at home.
Is Loki star Jack Veal really homeless?
In one of the clips shared on Sunday, December 1, Jack Veal said:
"Hi. I’m a famous actor, I’m 17 and I’m homeless. You may know me from Loki, The End of the F***ing World, or various other movies where I played important roles. I haven’t mentioned much about what’s been going on in my life, but I think it’s time to reveal the truth. Without delving too much into the details, I was abused at home. It was physical violence, emotional abuse and etcetera."
Veal, who has come up with some notable performances in Tin Star, The Corrupted, Call the Midwife, My Name Is Lenny, and Come Away, has also mentioned in the videos that he cannot stay with his grandparents because of his grandfather's terminal illness. He further added in another video saying:
"I have nowhere else to go, and I need help. Social services refuse to help me, despite what I have told them. I am desperate. I’ve been sleeping in the streets. I am currently sleeping in a trailer that has smashed-in windows, is unsafe and is two hours away from my work, which means I struggle to get to work every day. It’s difficult. Life is hard. At the moment, I have nothing else. I am on my knees begging for you guys to share this, do something, spread the message with how the government are treating kids."
How did different social media respond to Jack sharing his trauma?
Jack's first video went viral on social media and earned more than 200,000 views. After this, the Loki star shared a number of follow-up clips thanking his fans for all the support they have given.
He further mentioned that social services have tried to reach out to him and are working on putting him in foster care. One user on Reddit, ThunderCube3888, has commented on a post saying:
"Damn, aren't there laws in place specifically to prevent this? Why haven't the police stepped in?"
Another user, Pascracked47, has said:
"This breaks my heart , hopefully someone can help."
Fans from all over the world are sharing Jack's posts on Twitter and other social media platforms. His videos have already been viewed more than 150,000 times and are continuously garnering more public attention.
In one of the clips, Veal ends by saying:
"I need help. Please share. Please share it with whoever you can. You don’t have to pay me anything, I don’t need anything. I just need you to make this go as viral as possible. I’ll continue to put some more stuff out, but please, I need help."
Following his disturbing appeal for help, viewers are expressing their moral support. As per reports, some have even offered Veal a place to stay until things are sorted out.
