It was back in October this year that Netflix greenlit the third installment of The Night Agent, and Genesis Rodriguez's addition to the show is expected to work wonders, given her present string of successful on-screen appearances. The third season of The Night Agent is currently in production as filming takes place in Istanbul. The cast and crew are slated to return to the States in early January 2025 to finish the filming.
The exact details of Genesis Rodriguez on The Night Agent season 3 are being kept under wraps, and according to Deadline, Netflix has declined to comment about the same. Although it is unclear whether Genesis Rodriguez will play a pivotal role onboard the Netflix spy thriller, it can be said that her addition to the cast ensemble will go a long way in making the show more popular.

Actress Genesis Rodriguez can rightfully be said to be experiencing a breakout moment of her own especially since she is about to be a part of a big-budget Netflix show following her appearance as Captain Josephina Carillo on Taylor Sheridan's Special Ops: Lioness. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in an recent interview, Genesis Rodriguez spoke about what she found to be the toughest while prearing for her role:
"All of it was a challenge. From the very beginning to auditioning and getting the job to actually doing all of it. It wasn’t natural for me, it was actually like a challenge. I knew, “Ok, this is the right project because this scares the bejesus out of me and this is what I could head straight towards.” When it scares you, there is this growth. I was just so grateful for the experience, because I knew I was going to grow as a person as well."
What is the latest buzz around The Night Agent season 3?
The first season of The Night Agent revolves around the character of FBI Agent, Peter Sutherland, who has a rather uneventful job inside a basement, watching a telephone that never seems to ring. However, when it does ring one night, it embroils him in a fast-paced conspiracy that brings him to the higher echelons of the Oval Office. The debut season premiered back in 2023, and raked in around 98.2 million views on Netflix, making it one of the most watched shows on the streaming platform.
Shawn Ryan serves as the showrunner and the executive producer of the show. While the first season was primarily set in Washington D.C., and filmed in Vancouver, the second season revolved around New York, and had some sections that were filmed in Thailand. As of this writing, the production for the third season is ongoing at Istanbul, and the crew are expected to return to New York in January, 2025 to complete filming.
