Kadiff Kirwan is not starring in Netflix’s Black Doves, and the confusion around his role in the show stems from his rumored relationship with series star Ben Whishaw. Though Kadiff would not be seen in the spy thriller show, he has been a part of several other acclaimed projects over the years.

The 35-year-old was fascinated with the world of drama ever since childhood and started acting in school plays at the age of 14. He later attended the Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating in 2011. Two years later, Kadiff made his professional debut with theater in the stage play Home.

On-screen, the actor made his debut with a minor role in the period drama Call the Midwife in 2015. He later appeared as Jason in the sitcom Crims and shot to fame with his role as Aaron in the comedy series Chewing Gum.

Kadiff continued his TV career with episodic appearances in shows like Drunk History, Queers, Informer, Zapped, and Fleabag. In 2019, he starred in the ITV2 sci-fi comedy series Timewasters, which revolves around a jazz quartet who travel to different timelines.

The actor was then seen in the hit Netflix mystery thriller series The Stranger, playing Detective Constable Wesley Ross. In 2022, he appeared in the BBC One medical comedy-drama This Is Going to Hurt as Julian, alongside speculated boyfriend Ben Whishaw, who played the lead, Adam Kay.

Kadiff is also a part of the Apple TV+ spy thriller series Slow Horses and the Channel 4 sitcom Everyone Else Burns. His film credits include the 2018 historical drama Mary Queen of Scots, the 2019 fantasy film Pokémon Detective Pikachu, and the 2022 romantic drama My Policeman.
