Silo season 2 has come to an end on Apple TV+ with the release of its final episode on January 17, 2025. The series has cemented its position as one of the most popular shows on the streamer with its intriguing world filled with twists and turns.
The show follows Juliette Nichols, who lives in an underground silo with her community as the outside world is too toxic to inhabit. As the series progresses, the real and darker motives behind the origin of these communities come out.
Fortunately, Juliette’s story is going to continue for a while now as the show has been renewed for two more seasons. This means, as confirmed by Apple TV+, Silo season 4 is happening.
Series creator Graham Yost has now shared another exciting update about the future of the show, revealing the two upcoming seasons are going to be filmed back-to-back.
Silo season 4 will be filmed right after Season 3

Silo season 4 was officially confirmed by Apple TV+ along with season 3 in December 2024. Graham Yost has now given a major update about the upcoming seasons in an interview with The Wrap. The creator said the filming of the third season began months ago.
He added that the fourth and final season will be filmed right after the third, and the production team will take only a small break between the two. Both the seasons will wrap up filming in 2025. The creator has already written the complete script for the final season. He said:
“We’ve written all of Season 4. So, because we have to plan, there’s no hiatus. We’re shutting down for three months of pre-production for Season 4, and then we’re going to roll right in.”
This essentially means that the audience will not have to wait for a long time to watch the final two installments of the series. As season 3 is already months into filming, it might come out on Apple TV+ by the end of 2025, and the fourth season might hit the screens in 2026.
What will Silo Season 4 be about?

The show is based on Hugh Howey’s novel trilogy which includes the books Wool, Shift, and Dust. The first two seasons adapt the first novel, so the third and fourth seasons will likely be based on Shift and Dust respectively.
Being the final chapter of the show, season 4 is expected to reveal all the secrets about the underground communities. Juliette Nichols’ character will likely get a closure as she unearths the mystery.
In the interview, Graham Yost said season 3 would delve into the origin of the silos, but would leave some questions unanswered which will be explored in the final season. At the same time, Yost hinted that the show is already deviating from the books, so it might conclude in a different way than the novels.
Who will star in Silo season 4?

Being the protagonist of the show, Rebecca Ferguson is expected to return as Juliette Nichols in the final season. The rest of the cast will depend on how things turn out for their characters in the third season, as the show does not shy away from killing off key characters.
The main cast of the show includes Common (Robert Sims), Tim Robbins (Bernard Holland), Harriet Walter (Martha Walker), Avi Nash (Lukas Kyle), Rick Gomez (Patrick Kennedy), Chinaza Uche (Paul Billings), Steve Zahn (Solo), Ashley Zukerman (Daniel), and Jessica Henwick (Helen).
Hence, the probable cast of Silo season 4 is as below:
- Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols
- Common as Robert Sims
- Tim Robbins as Bernard Holland
- Harriet Walter as Martha Walker
- Avi Nash as Lukas Kyle
- Rick Gomez as Patrick Kennedy
- Chinaza Uche as Paul Billings

- Ashley Zukerman as Daniel
- Jessica Henwick as Helen
