Based on novels by the best-selling author Diana Gabaldon, the Starz series has captured the hearts of many with its time-travel love story and gripping storytelling.
The story shows the journey of a World War II nurse, Claire Randall to the 18th century in a mysterious way. There Claire falls in love with Jamie Fraser, a Highland warrior. The plot highlights their decade-long romance filled with uncertainty through forced separation, betrayal, and even wars.

What to expect in Outlander Season 8?
Outlander Season 7 Episode 15 titled 'Written in My Own Heart's Blood' ended on an emotional note. Based on Diana Gabaldon's ninth book, Go Tell The Bees That I'm Gone, Outlander Season 8 will explore Claire and Jamie's relationship in between the turmoils of the American Revolutionary War.
On the other hand, Rob Cameroon's evil plans against Brianna, Roger, and their son can also be delved into. Outlander Season 7 finale also left the viewers wondering about Claire and James's first-born daughter Faith who died as a stillborn. In the Season finale, we find major clues hinting towards the fact that she might have survived. After Jane's death when Jamie and Claire brought Frances to their home, Claire heard Frances singing 'I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside'.
This sparked flashbacks for Claire as she sang this song to her stillborn daughter Faith. Making Claire wonder whether Faith was the mother of Jane and Frances. This plotline might be explored in Outlander Season 8. Talking about Outlander Season 8, Sam Heughan in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter stated,
"It's a huge moment for them to find out that their daughter potentially lived, and now they have this grandchild in their life. It's a great cliffhanger -one that I think book and non-book fans are going to be surprised by."
The teaser for the eighth and final season of Outlander has been released by Starz. It featured Jamie and Claire declaring love and stating a commitment to an uncertain future. With high-angle shots taken over the cemetery, we hear Jamie's voice,
"And the last day shall come that we do part If my last words are not 'I Love you, it's because I didn't have enough time."
The viewers will finally get to see the conclusion of more than a decade-long love story of Jamie and Claire. However, the teaser and Jamie's words are an indication of uncertainty between Claire and Jamie's future.
