Is there going to be Mythic Quest Season 5? Here's everything we know about the show

Mythic Quest, the widely acclaimed comedy series on Apple TV+ will not be returning for Season 5. The series has been a regular on the platform’s roster since 2020. Mythic Quest's season 4 finale aired on March 26, 2025. The show revolves around a video game studio that produces a game called Mythic Quest, overseen by the creative director Ian Grimm (played by Rob McElhenney) and lead engineer Poppy Li (played by Charlotte Nicdao). Each season explores the several challenges that the team faces to keep their game on top of the charts.

As the show has not been renewed for the next season, the updated version of the final episode of Season 4 will air in the coming week. As per Variety, the executive producers of Mythic Quest, Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney shared,

“Endings are hard. But after four incredible seasons, Mythic Quest is coming to a close. We’re so proud of the show and the world we got to build — and deeply grateful to every cast and crew member who poured their heart into it."

They continued, thanking the streaming platform and fans of the show,

" To all our fans, thank you for playing with us. To our partners at Apple, thank you for believing in the vision from the very beginning. Because endings are hard, with Apple’s blessing we made one final update to our last episode — so we could say goodbye, instead of just game over.”

Mythic Quest Season 4 currently holds a rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. A critic, Ben Travers of IndieWire shared his take on the final season,

“Season 4 is just as refreshing as previous seasons. It’s just also taking a fundamental dynamic and bending it as far as it can, while growing the main characters in exciting, relatable ways.”

Mythic Quest stars Rob McElhenney, Charlotte Nicdao, Ashly Burch, Jessie Ennis, Imani Hakim, David Hornsby, Danny Pudi and F. Murray Abraham among others.

Mythic Quest is a workplace comedy series that is set in a video game studio. In the show, Mythic Quest is a multiplayer online role-playing game that has several subscribers. Creative director of the studio Ian Grimm, who has big dreams and wants to expand the game, locks heads with the lead engineer Poppy Li on his unrealistic expectations. As the series goes on, they form a close bond. The team at the studio strive to find success in the ever-evolving and challenging world of gaming.
