Since the announcement of Suits LA, the first spin-off of Aaron Korsh's original legal series Suits, fans have been waiting for a specific announcement—the return of Gabriel Macht as Harvey Specter.
There was much speculation about the main cast making cameos for the spin-off series, as everyone said they would return if Korsch called them. Fans were eager for Macht to return as the best closer in New York.
The actor's return was rumored a few days back, but to put all these speculations to rest, the man himself has confirmed the rumors. Gabriel Macht will reprise his role as Harvey Specter for Suits LA in a three-episode arc.
The spin-off series stars Stephen Amell, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, and Bryan Greenberg.

Gabriel Macht confirms his return to Suits LA with an Instagram post
Suits has again been in the spotlight after its return to the Top 10 charts on Netflix. And it looks like Korsch is pulling all the strings to monetize this newfound stardom for the series with a spin-off.
And what would attract the audience to the spin-off more than seeing Harvey back in action, working those lawsuits in his suave and charismatic way?
The actor put all speculations to rest and confirmed his return via an Instagram post, in which he is seen 'suiting up' in Harvey's suit and shoes while the iconic tune of the show's background score, 'Greenback Boogie,' plays.
He captioned this post, 'When an old friend is in need…it’s time to take care of things and make those very things right.' This 'friend' is Stephen Amell's Ted Black, who commented on Macht's post, 'The Bat Signal does work!!’
Macht's return to Suits LA also marks his return to the screen after he took a break from acting in 2019 to move to the UK with his family.
He was also present at the Suits reunion with the cast at the Golden Globes and did a T-Mobile commercial alongside Patrick J. Adams.
Exploring the connection between Gabriel's Harvey and Stephen's Ted on Suits LA
As Gabriel mentioned 'helping out a friend' in his Instagram post, one cannot help but wonder about his connection to the spin-off's protagonist, Ted Black.
According to the official synopsis of the show,
“Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career... All of this is going on while we slowly unravel the events that years ago led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved.”
According to the synopsis, it can be inferred that Harvey and Ted share the same past, as they were both prosecutors in New York for the government before they went on to work in their respective private firms.
As the 'old friendship' goes, the two might have become friends during Ted's time in New York. Now, when his firm is in a crisis, it is only viable that the best closer in New York pays his friend a visit in LA.
It has been reported that Macht will appear in a three-episode arc on Suits LA.
The spin-off series will debut on NBC on February 23, 2025.
