Is a crossover between Andrew Scott's Hot Priest from Fleabag and Sally Rooney's Normal People in the works? Considering both shows' similar aesthetics and appeal, the idea is not too far-fetched.
Unfortunately, Normal People is not getting another adaptation, and the fans will have to suffice with the 2020 version, which depicts the story of Marianne (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Connell (Paul Mescal) in a 12-episode series.
However, the show's creative team has partnered with Comic Relief, the British charity program, to create brand new content for a great cause.
This collaboration has released two clips, 'Normal People Confessions' and 'Older Normal People,' for Hulu. Normal People Confessions features Fleabag's Andrew Scott as Hot Priest, with Jones and Mescal reprising their roles as Marianne and Connell, respectively.

Did Marianne and Connell confess to Andrew Scott's Hot Priest? Exploring the Normal People-Fleabag crossover
The cast of Normal People has collaborated with a British Charity to give the fans the crossover they deserve. Where else would you see Fleabag's Hot Priest and Normal People's Marianne and Connell share the same frame again?
In a short clip (approximately 4 minutes), Andrew Scott teams up with the protagonists of BBC's Normal People, where Connell confesses his feelings of love and lust towards Marianne.
The clip is chaotic, and fans of both shows are enjoying this sneak peek where the tables seem to have turned after the Priest appears to be confessing his feelings for Fleabag, after their infamous 'It'll pass' scene (guess what? It hasn't passed)
Connell and Priest's confession time is interrupted when Marianne makes an appearance for her 'first' confession. The clip is funny if we look at the individual stories of both shows, with the actors taking an entirely new approach to their characters.
Interestingly, Paul Mescal and Andrew Scott recently starred as lovers in the movie All of Us Strangers making their Priest-confessor relationship even more hilarious. What is this multiverse of Madness?
The collaboration features another clip titled Older Normal People
The collaboration doesn't end with the Confessions with Andrew Scott as Hulu aired another short clip (approximately 2 minutes) featuring two actors who play older versions of Marianne and Connell.
The clip offers a peek at their relationship some years down the line. The actors are spot-on in mimicking Mescal and Jones as their respective characters, and the resemblance is quite hilarious. Their conversation which revolves around 'beans on toast', is an exaggerated but funny portrayal of how Connell and Marianne would communicate in the future (if their relationship sustains).
All the actors seem to have enjoyed filming this crossover clip, as they shared behind the scenes on their Instagram. Mescal also honored director Lenny Abrahamson and cinematographer Suzie Lavelle via his Instagram. Abrahamson is also slated to direct the TV adaptation of Salley Rooney's Conversations With Friends.
Reportedly, RTE's Comic Relief has raised more than €5 million with their clips.
