Invincible isn't short of villains, especially since the animated series features the all-time baddie, Angstrom Levy. Marking a memorable appearance on Invincible season three, Angstrom Levy was last seen in the seventh episode. From the way the narrative of Invincible has progressed so far, it can be said that Levy's sole purpose in the scheme of things is to plague Mark Grayson, with the mantle of the Invincible set firmly in sight.

The character of Angstrom Levy is voiced by the versatile actor Sterling K. Brown. In the most recent episode of the Prime Video show, Levy came back with an army of Mark variants hailing from diverse dimensions. Proving himself worthy to be an opponent to Mark, Levy confused his opponent for a moment when Mark was astounded about the villain's survival.

This is all the more poignant since prior to this, Levy was almost destroyed to the point of not being recognized by Mark. He somehow miraculously managed to survive by hanging on to a single broken finger that he used to transport himself into another dimension away from Mark, populated by the Technicians.

Here's everything that we know.

Angstrom Levy's survival story on Invincible season 3

The showdown between Levy and Mark proved to be brutal and unrelenting. Levy was eventually struck down and almost obliterated by Mark. His body seemed to be dismembered and exploded to bits and pieces strewn in every direction imaginable. Seeing no other recourse, Levy hung onto one of his broken fingers, which he then used to open up a portal to escape.

Levy's escape attempt brought him into the world of the Technicians, also known as a trio of frightening beings who are scientific in their approach. Levy begged the Technicians for their help, and they complied with his requests. With their help, Levy was slowly able to rebuild his forces by recruiting different variants of Mark from different dimensions into one striking force to be led in a battle against Invincible.

Throughout a long and protracted war, Levy's ranks began decreasing and dying steadily. He eventually faced several setbacks before contending with his ultimate rival once again, and in his battle, he ended up losing an arm. Regardless, for someone like Levy, a missing limb would scarcely stop him in his tracks, and he can be expected to once again make an appearance on the Prime Video show's third season.

Sterling K. Brown opens up about Angstrom Levy and other villains

Sterling K. Brown spoke in an interview with Comic Book Resources back in January 2024, where he admitted relating to Angstrom Levy, Thanos, and other supervillain characters. He remarked:

"I'm always talking about being a bad guy. I like the idea of being a bad guy, and he's a bad guy who's not always bad. Kind of like Killmonger-esque, in that way. And so there's complexity to him, and you can't just outright vilify him, because every once in a while, he'll land with a point, and you'll be like, 'Oh.' Like, Thanos was like, 'This world is too big.' And sometimes, I go, 'Thanos might be right.'"

Invincible season three is exclusively available on Prime Video.
